How to open a NEF file in Lightroom 3?

I want to open the NEF files my NIKON D70 is producing in Lightroom 3. The only way I found is through "Import Photos".Is what I'm looking for? I'm asking because it just imports the pictures into Lightroom without saying it they're still raw or not.

Can my other cameras lens fit into my Nikon d3100?

I have a Nikon d3100, and unfortunately its lens broke /:
so my mom brought it back to blacks and they sent it away to Nikon for them to check what's wrong or to replace it,
anyways, my mom has this other camera, and she really likes its lens,
i don't know what its called, but on a gold sticker it says ' JCII and under it says 'JMDC '
( it also mentions that the lens is made in japan )

the lens kinda look like this ;

and i was wondering if it could fit into my nikon d3100,
i would of done it myself to see if it could fit, but my Nikon is away so i can't check,
would any of you know if it could fit? :/

Why have all my photos got a black shadow on the top?

I woke up one morning and started taking photos and from there on all the photos I've taken (for the next 2 days or something) have had a dark black shadow round the top of them. When I'm looking through the lens there's no band just after I've taken the photo. I've uploaded them onto the computer and the same problem happens. So I'm guessing it's either something to do with the shutter or a setting. If I put the shutter speed lower it tends to make the dark band go away a bit but not completely.
I'm using a Nikon D70

I'm looking for a camera that's good for, photography, of course, and portrait picture taking, I've read the reviews and stuff, but I would like to hear from someone who actually has the camera, or something similar.

What is wrong with my camera? Card issues?

I have a Nikon D70. All the sudden the card starts malfunctioning and the little icon [FOR] or [CHA] shows up. Yes, I have formatted the card using the camera and my computer before using the card each time. And just when I think it starts working right, I take around 200 pictures and the computer says "This card needs to be formatted before use… " I put the card back in the camera and the pictures show up just fine. And I try again repeatedly and then all of the sudden when I try to view the pictures on the camera, the screen on the camera says "FILE Can't BE VIEWED" or something along those lines. I did a ton of research and found out that I need a new card.

So I bought a new card about a month ago. Everything was just fine until today. THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED. I took like 175 pictures… GONE… Goodbye.
"Oh, card needs to be formatted"
Well, I did that before i took the pics.
" oh everything shows up fine on the camera!"
OK, go back to the computer and try again." Card needs to be formatted."
Go back to view on camera. "File can't be found."
Only like 3 pictures show up. And I can't even put the stupid things on the computer and they're blurry anyways.

Please help me.

Added (1). The new card I bought is a Lexar Platinum II 4GB 200x. The card I had before was a Lexar also. Both have the same exact problems. I'm not going to waste my money on a card if it's not going to fix anything. Should I just take my camera in and get it fixed? Or buy a new one because it's out dated anyways. I bought the camera in around 2005
