Does the Canon Rebel XS battery last long, and is it rechargeable?
I'm thinking of this camera, or the Nikon D3100 for my birthday present. Does the battery that the Canon Rebel XS come with last long, and is it rechargeable? What about for the Nikon D3100?

Ok, so I want to get a camera for when I go travelling. I will be travelling around different countries on a motorbike, with limited luggage space. I need a good quality camera that is reasonably compact/lightweight and durable.
Requirements:
- Between £400 - £500
- Compact and lightweight
- Has to have a viewfinder
- Needs to be able to take good quality photos, mainly during the day, scenery & panoramic shots in particular.
- Needs to be reliable and durable. I'll be going through desert areas, so a dust removal system would be beneficial.
At the moment I'm considering either a more compact DSLR such as the Nikon D60 or the Olympus E620.
OR
A micro four thirds camera such as the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2.
So is there much of a difference in the size/weight. Would there be any noticeable difference in the picture quality? Would a DSLR be more versatile?
Any help is appreciated.

How to make the best of shooting in low light?
I want to take some night life photos. I'm USING A nIKON D3100. I have the basic stock lens that it comes with and it's built in pop up flash. I know I have no just but to use flash if I don't want any motion blur and what not. What's the best way to make good use of using the built in flash without it completely destroying the picture.

Is the Canon EOS Rebel XSi and/or the Tli and good camera?
I want to buy my first dslr camera. I have been looking at the Nikon d5000 and d3100 for months now. Last night I stumbled apon the Canon EOS Rebel XSi and the Canon Rebel Tli. I liked that they were a little cheaper than the Nikon. Would one of those be good cameras for me to start with?

Which is better in NIKON DSLR D3000, sony DSLR-A290l, canon EOS 1000D Kit (EFS 18-55)?
I'm a beginner and want to buy a dslr camera of price about INR20, 000 -INR 27, 000. I have short listed some such as NIKON DSLR D3000, sony DSLR-A290l, canon EOS 1000D Kit (EFS 18-55). Please tell me which is better and if any other model available Please do let me know.

I have a nikon D3000, my nephew likes gadgets and things like that, well I bet you can see where this is going, fortunately I got to him before the camera was disassembled but I have only recently discovered that he managed to take the back part of one of my lenses off, re - assembling the back part of this lens has become more than I'm capable of doing I need some assistance from someone who knows what they are doing, what I have is pretty simple, it's just the rear lens and three screws that are about 1/4 inch in length (all the wires are still connected) found the three screw holes but with further inspection I discovered that just inserting the screws will not attach the back part to the camera lens I need help, please. I haven't really tried to connect it, I figured that I would get some info from someone who knows what they are doing before i make an attempt, I'm pretty good with gadgets and stuff I just don't want to mess this up.
There are three screw holes and three screws but it looks as if it may not be just that simple to re- assemble. Because of the nature of this problem i can't take it to a professional, please help.

Nikon Sb-600 at 1/1000 of a second
Hi I'm trying to shoot action shots with my D3100 and it wouldn't allow me to shoot an exposure of 1/1000 of a second with my on camera flash this led to me buying the Sb-600. Could anyone please tell me how to let my camera shoot at 1/1000 with the Sb-600?

Flash on Nikon D3000 stopped working?
Okay, before I only get all responses telling me to "read the manual" blah blah, i'm a very irresponsible and stupid person and lost it.
After I took a few pictures the other day, I turned off my camera, and then came back to it a few hours later. The flash stopped working. I don't remember if I pressed a certain button or some *** but I've tried like everything and nothings working. Really hope I didn't break it.
Well, if anyone can help me out it'd be really really appreaciated, thank you.
Added (1). Ughh thanks for the help guys, but nothing I do is working. :/
