Can my other cameras lens fit into my Nikon d3100?

I have a Nikon d3100, and unfortunately its lens broke /:
so my mom brought it back to blacks and they sent it away to Nikon for them to check what's wrong or to replace it,
anyways, my mom has this other camera, and she really likes its lens,
i don't know what its called, but on a gold sticker it says ' JCII and under it says 'JMDC '
( it also mentions that the lens is made in japan )

and i was wondering if it could fit into my nikon d3100,
i would of done it myself to see if it could fit, but my Nikon is away so i can't check,
would any of you know if it could fit? :/

That's a generic telezoom from the manual focus area. If it's nikon mount it will work but you will need to do everything yourself

If her camera is a Nikon Single Lens Reflex, the lens will fit your camera. It may not be a Nikon lens, but if it was designed for Nikon cameras, it should work.

If her camera is a different brand, the lens will definitely NOT fit. No other camera uses the Nikon lens mount.

If it's an older Nikon lens, you may not have autofocus or even automatic exposure with your camera, but you should be able to manually set the lens aperture and set the shutter speed exposure on the camera.

The gold sticker is a Japanese inspection sticker that can be found on any brand of lens made in Japan.
