Does the Nikon D5000 camera have like a manual focus?
Like you know when you are making a video and it automatically focuses for you like if your moving. Get what i'm saying?

How to set Nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens to manual?
I'm using a Nikon D80, I just got the 50mm a month ago for sharper images, but the autofocus on it is very very slow and sometimes just refuses to focus on anything. I can't find a manual setting on the lens and i've tried using the manual setting on the camera but the lens still autofocuses, how can i stop this? Or at least improve the autofocus

Sony a55, nikon d5000, or canon t21?
I'm looking to buy a new camera and can't decide between the the 3.It seems after each review I read I change my mind. I'm looking for the best image quality and will be taking photos of children and family. I would like something to take great pictures on it's on but will allow me to also learn photography with it. I also considered the nikon d90 but it was just to big and seemed like more of a mans camera. The sony a55 is at the top of my list right now after I have read alot of great reviews, and it is newer than the nikon.

I'm a semi-professional photographer currently working towards a BFA. I have a Nikon D80 as well as a few film slrs and a canon compact camera. I'm extremely disappointed with my compact canon and I'm looking for a replacement. I leave for Rome in two weeks so I need something As soon as possible. I'm concerned I will be targeted carrying around my dslr everywhere so I need a small compact that takes high quality photos! I'd like a good zoom and at least 12 mega pixels… Does anyone have any advice?

Own a Sony a200 and looking to upgrade possibly to another brand of camera?
The a200 was my first dslr I bought a few years ago. Now I feel as I'm growing as a photographer the sony is slowing me down. I need more from a camera as it is my right hand. I shoot in a lot of low light situations and the sony image quality is not good in ISO 1600 and 3200. My budget is just under a grand but I'm open to more expensive options. I suppose I'm looking for a professional grade camera for a poor photographer. I had been looking at the nikon d90 because I read reviews that image quality is great. I also think the video mode is pretty nifty. Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I was wondering what the best way to clean the lens of a Nikon D3000 is?
I got my first DSLR about a month ago so I'm still a novice in operating and maintaining them. I have a lens cap on it when it is not in use, but I still noticed a little bit of dust on the lens. I didn't want to touch it with just anything because I don't want to damage it, so i was wondering if anyone has any advice on what to use to clean the lens without damaging it?
I've seen several different things mentioned online like special cloths and something called compressed air which blows it off. I was wondering if the compressed air would be the best option, and if anyone knows how much it costs or where it is sold?

I have a nikon D3000. I want to know what are some cool tips, settings, angles.anything you think would make an interesting photograph. Please be very detailed thanks<3

Can I use a 2x converter on my Nikon D5000 camera?
I was wondering if I could use a 2X converter on my Nikon D5000 camera?
If so, is there a certain one that would still keep Auto Focus, or would there be no AF no matter which I would use?
I would be using this with a Nikor 55-200mm lens. Any converter type to suggest?

Is the Nikon 18-200mm VR compatible with the D3000 in autofocus?
I heard how some lenses are only compatible with manual focus on the lower level DSLR's. I was wondering what lense would be good for me to purchase since I only have the kit lens. If this lens isn't compatible, could you refer me a different one that would work?
