I currently have I nikon D60 with the stock lens (18-55mm) and 55-200mm lens both of which are VR. I'm wanting to upgrade to something bigger/better. I'm looking at spending 1500 or less but if it is a good deal I would pay more. I would also like to know what lenses I should buy to go with it. I take a wedding pictures, family pictures, senior pictures, and just random outdoor/nature pictures.
Added (1). By the way I think I have my Camera sold. So I can start with anything.

Nikon D3000 Self-Timer, How do I turn it on?
So I have the Nikon D3000, and I go to menu, go down to the little wrench, and then select self-timer and make it 10s, then I go to take a picture. And it immediately goes off without the 10s. How do I get the self timer to work?

Suggest lens for my NIkon d3000?
I have a Nikon D3000.So far I have the kit lens, and just recently bought the 35mm f1.8. What lens should I get next? I pretty much only take pictures of my daughters, if that matters?
Only thing it has to have is autofocus.

Thinking about starting Photography?
So I don't have a good camera now other than on my phone but I love taking pictures and editing them… Of nature, people, things… I don't wanna buy a beginners camera for 300$ then a pro for 600$… I wanna start out with a decent camera that isn't TOO hard for a beginner. But it's not like I'm incompetent. I used my friends sickkk nikon for a couple hours and she was surprised at some of my shots… And I loved doing it. But I don't know a thing about photography… I'm gonna find a cheep beginners class this summer but till then I wanna get to know my camera and what not. I'm willing to use the big bucks and I know the cameras themselves range but it's the lenses that are expensive and I'd upgrade the lens when I knew it was time… But yah someone said a Nikon D70 or Canon Rebel Xsi but then again there are so many different kinds. Any advice on some good cameras for someone like me and good editing programs or sites.

How to take pictures on my Nikon D70 without there being a focal point?

Nikon D3100 video feature?
I was wondering does the nikon d3100 only store 10 minutes of video or does it only film 10 minutes of video per one recording? I'm planning to buy and I need to know the video specs.
Additional Details
If it only stores 10 minutes of video can this be improved by a different memory card?

How to change shutter speed of Nikon D3100?
I have a pass to take photos at a venue in March, and was wondering how to change the shutter speed to get the photos to not blur. I can't use any flash and the light that comes on whenever you put it on any other setting except 'landscape' has to be turned off. I know how to change the ISO, I need to be able to change the shutter speed. I only have the 18mm-50mm zoom lens that came with it, and have no money for an extra lens at the moment.
So does anyone know how to change the shutter speed AND turn off that light (not the flash) Thanks!

New MacBook Pro 15, More Ram, or Better Processor better?
I want to purchase one of the new MacBook Pros (15") in the near future. I'm looking at the 15" 2.2GHz model, and since in need to get it to £2k (because then i get the VAT off to get it down to £1600) i was wandering if it's better to upgrade the ram from 4GB to 8GB, or to upgrade the processor from 2.2GHz to 2.3GHz.
I'm mainly going to be using it for photo editing, (RAW Files from a Nikon D90, in both aperture and photoshop), and Video editing (in iMovie). As well as all the standard web browsing, email etc etc etc.
Please don't go on about the price or anything like that. I just want to know if its more worth while investing in the extra RAM or the extra 0.1GHz of processing power.
Thank you in advance.

Added (1). I want a Mac, and arguably need a Mac, because PCs suck, and i'm used to Mac OS X and just prefer the way that they work. I also have used a Mac for the last 5 years, and am used to it, and have software for it, and by the time i had got a £800 PC, plus Office, Photoshop, and a decent video editing suite, i would be at £1600 anyway. So… Might as well just stick with mac!

Trouble with splash photography?
I'm trying to do flash photography for fun but it ends up being so fustrating!
I've done it before and I took about 1000 shots and only got like 3 really good shots.
But this time it's the most fustrating. First I used soda cans so today I brought fruit because I thought it would be lighter and would be less blurry.
I have a Nikon D5000, Black backdrop, to lamp like flashes on the side (always on, not a flash), fishtank full of water, clicker button thing for release mode.
My settings are
ISO 3200
Manual (M)
Shutter speed 1/500
Everything is good but its so hard for the camera to STAY on focus. I'll focus it by hand then when i walk away and press the clicker, it would focus again or maybe take the picture. (If only there was like a lock button that could hold the focus?). Another thing is when I hold down the clicker thing, it takes a whole bunch of pictures like I want it to but then sometimes it would be slower than others.
This is so fustrating! If anyone could just tell me the settings for Nikon D5000 for splash photography that would be great! I'm tired of trying so many things.
Also I would like to know how to make the shutter speed to be really fast so that the fruit and water is not blurry when it splashes but not make it dark at the same time. Everytime I make the sutter speed higher, its too dark.
Please help me I'm loosing my mind!
Added (1). I'm also using a NIKKOR 70 - 300mm
Thanks for your answers but how do you change the apeture? I know its a dumb question but I'm so confused.
