I need to see what day and with what lens I shot a picture on and with for a return I need to make. I can't figure out how to get the histogram up on my D3000, though. How do I get there?

How to get the screen on my nikon to show the pictures before I take them?
My mom just bought a Nikon D3000 and she wants to use the screen to view instead of looking through the eyepiece, How can we change the setting?

How to use camera with laptop?
I have a Nikon D3100 and was wondering if there was any programs/software that would allow me to take pictures on my camera which would be plugged in to my laptop and the picture would appear instantly to check to see what it looks like? (I have seen this done at school for example I would just like to know the name)

A couple errors Nikon d90 (new camera)?
I just got my d90, and on the first day of use i'm getting a cha error, where it locks up. Can I fix this or should i exchange it for another body? I reformatted the card after I got it, and I'm getting it with multiple cards. Its a pain in the but, and I would rather not exchange it, but I guess I have to?
I'm also getting f-- errors. I have an 18-105, and as I said before I Really don't want to exchange it (its such a hassle with fedex), but if I paid for a 1200 dollar camera I don't want to be stuck with a broken one.
Added (1). @photoace - first of all thanks for all your help on this site. You're pretty awesome!
Second, I did look at the manual. I tried different cards, and i'm still getting the error. I've never had a problem with these cards before, which leads me to think its the camera. The camera will take pictures with it for a while, then after 2 or 3 itll freeze up and give me the CHR error. The only way to fix it is to take out the battery (resetting and turning it off doesn't work).
The F-- error. It happens when i'm adjusting the aperture. It doesn't let me adjust the aperture durign this error. The manual says this is caused by a bad connection btwn the lens and the camera. Only way to fix is to take the lens out and put it back in again. Happens to only come when i have a good shot in front of me, but that's irrelevant.
It also freezes up a lot. It won't take the picture every once in a while and it shows the white balance bar in the viewfinder.
Added (2). The camera doesn't have an aperture ring. Plus, I'd like to adjust the aperture. I wouldnt want to be restricted to one; thats the reason I got the camera.

A good lens for wedding, Nikon user here
So for a few months I have been sucked into really getting into my photography. I did have the option of going to school for it, but I could not afford it and make the move. So I decided to learn on my own. I have recently just been doing portrait photos and such like that with my 35mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.8. But I was recently asked to do a wedding. What I'm wondering is if I actually have the right equipment for this. The lens mentioned above are the only ones I have. I know the Nikon 17-55 f2.8 is know for being good for weddings, but $800 dollars for a used one… O_O so I'm wondering, what is another good one that can be used. Obviously a zoom lens, but my budget would have to be around $300. I only have a Nikon D5000 and decided on that camera to start me out, I know it's not an excellent body, but it's all I have at the moment and make do with it. I actually turned the girl down, telling her that I did not feel as if I would have everything I need to do her photo's and that I would rather her be very happy with someone that had the things they need to do the photos. She was a friends so I just told out right why. I have been staying away from wedding offers because I feel like I do not want to take on the weight of responsibility with someone's biggest day equipped with only those lens.Am I making a mistake?

How to get the best out of my camera taking club pictures?
A great friend of mine is having a party at a venue and I'm sure there will be little lighting and lots of dancing. I'm only a beginner so I'll be doing this for free.
I have a Nikon D3100 with internal flash only VR 18-55mm 1:35-5.6G

Where can i buy a Nikon D3100 for around £350?
Where can i buy a Nikon D3100 for around £350?

I'm taking pictures for a wedding fairly soon. I would like to be better equipped in terms of camera equipment so I can deliver the best pictures possible for the happy couple. I'm having some trouble deciding which lens I should get. I have a Nikon d3000 camera body. I have the 18-55mm kit lens. And I have the 50mm f/1.8 lens. Which is what I mainly shoot with. But this lens does not have a focus motor with my camera body, therefore I must struggle through the manual focus. Which is fine and I can do it, but it just takes a bit and how I would hate for the whole wedding party to lose patience with me. So I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on lenses. Possibly a good lens for portraits, group shots, or candids. I don't really want to spend more than $500 so this might be a bit of a challenge. But any help is appreciated!
I have looked at an 85mm lens and also the 18-135mm lens. Let me know what you think of those. Thanks!
Added (1). Please NOTE: I'm tagging along with a profesional on this one, so I would just like to get a general idea of what lens would be good. No need to tell me I should not be taking wedding photos if I don't even know what lens to use. I just really need someone's help. Thanks
Added (2). Also please note, the professional has given his two pennies worth but I would like more opinions. I do not mean to bother anyone because it is simply of the individuals own accord that they chose to open this post. Sorry if you feel bothered…

Ken Rockwell rated the nikon d3000 as the worst dslr ever, and the d40 a much better cam?
For those who have tried to use both, is it true that the older d40 is more superior when it comes to image quality?
