Hi.i'm super new to photography and would like to get myself a D90. The problem is, i've been browsing several websites on D90 but i can't understand any of the descriptions/explanations as they are very technical.

so, i need help - what exactly should i know to buy/own a D90?

i will need the camera body, the flash (what model?), the lenses (is it sold together with the body?), the battery charger, the bag (of course) - what else?

many, many thanks in advance.

You should know how to use a DSLR camera correctly, or are wanting to learn how to correctly use one (as in, not just keep it on auto mode).

if you get the D90 kit, you will get the D90 body, the 18-105mm lens, battery, battery charger, and documentation. The only other things you absolutely need to get started is a memory card.

a bag is recommended to hold everything, and a UV filter is also recommended. They do nothing but protect the front element of the lens. It is much easier and cheaper to replace a filter than replace a lens. Hoya or B&W are the brands you should go with.

as for a flash, I suggest you wait on that until you learn to correctly use your camera without it. Flash photography is another completely different realm of photography

All dSLRs are basically the same. You need to know everything on this link to operate any dSLR.

Don't buy a flash right away, learn the camera a bit first.

D90 kit (the one with the 18-105)
Bag (your choice)
SD memory card, 8gb (anything will do)
rocket blower
microfiber cloth
Copy of photography for dummies

That's all you need to get started.
