I'm going to be using my nikon d60 for some beach sunset photos and before now, i had never played with the shutter speed. So what shutter speed would be ideal for a beach sunset?
I'm trying to get a Nikon D5100 camera by the end of Summer. My first idea was to go door to door asking people if they need gardening done but apparently they don't need/want it done because I went to like 25 houses and didn't get one person to get me to weed, cut, or water their lawn.
How in the world could I get $760 by the end of summer? I have 10 weeks! My family will help me a little bit, I know that. I'm really good at the arts, especially performing (singing), song producing, and writing. I have tried the freelance writing sites but they barely pay you anything. I'm 13 years old.
Main question: How in the world can I earn $760 this summer as a 13 year old?
What do you do if your built in light meter on your D90 is miss reading?
I recently learned how to adjust my manual settings based off of reading the internal light meter on my Nikon D90 at a photography workshop. I was so excited. It took a lot of the guess work out of adjusting aperture, shutter speed and iso on my own. Everything was going fine until recently. I would typically expose +2 or -2 depending on the situation and all would be fine, but now something is wrong. Now when I set my exposure at +2 or -2, everything gets completely blown out. What did I do wrong? How can I troubleshoot to correct this situation? I want to bring it in to Ritz camera (I originally bought my D90 from there) to get some help. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get!
Settings to use for group shots at night?
I have a nikon d90 with 35mm 1.8G lens and an sb 800 flash. When i take group portraits what settings do i use for my camera and flash to only allow the flash to light up the people in the picture and not the background?
Are Nikon cameras cheaper in HongKong or in Shanghai?
I know they are cheapest in Japan, but I won't be visiting there any time soon.
I'm mainly interested in a D90 kit (comes with 18-105mm lens) and a 35mm f1.8 prime.
Prices for those in Shanghai are around 6700 and 1400 respectively.
Anyone have any experience with Hong Kong Nikon prices?
