Nikon SLR Cameras

Are Nikon cameras cheaper in HongKong or in Shanghai?

I know they are cheapest in Japan, but I won't be visiting there any time soon.

I'm mainly interested in a D90 kit (comes with 18-105mm lens) and a 35mm f1.8 prime.
Prices for those in Shanghai are around 6700 and 1400 respectively.

Anyone have any experience with Hong Kong Nikon prices?

Much appreciated.

Of course, it is cheaper in Hong Kong. Considering you are paying RMB in Shanghai.
Shanghai and Shenzhen should be the same and I'm buying Nikon and Nikkor in Hong Kong.

No. You won't find them cheap in Japan. You would most probably get an export quality camera which is way lower in standards than those for local consumption. As far as I know, the cheapest would be the "Great Singapore Sale" running from May to July.

Be warned though. Any warranty they offer there won't be valid out of the country. If you are thinking about international warranty, that would mean shipping out the camera to the international service center of Nikon (in Japan?) and waiting up to 2 months for your camera to return.
