Nikon d3100 35-210mm lens?

I'm looking into buying a nikon d3100 14.0MP camera and I'm curious if the other lens I own for my older SLR film camera would be compatible. The lens is a Tamron SP 35-210mm. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

If your old 35mm film camera is a Nikon then your Tamron 35-210mm lens can be used. If its not a Nikon mount you should be able to find an adapter. Not knowing what your older film camera is really limits us in fully answering your question.
