Advice on buying Canon equipment?

I recently sold my Nikon D80 because I want to switch over to Canon. I borrowed my friends Canon Rebel t2i (aka 550 D) on a trip and I absolutely loved it. I'm thinking I might want to buy that model but I'm also considering the t3i or possibly the 50D. Does anyone have thoughts on which model?

I also need advice on which lenses to look at. I mostly do travel, portrait, and landscape photography and I like to play around with macro sometimes. I really want to have that "wow" effect when your pictures are super crisp and high-quality.

Also, I can't spend over $1000 on all of this (camera body and lenses).

Nikon D7000 does NOT autofocus

It just shipped to my house yesterday and was working perfectly fine. But after i took a few shots using continuous high option, scene setting and sport shots, it wouldnt autofocus anymore. Even on the autofocus option.somebody please help i paid too much money for this to happen

So I can make a time lapse of clouds going by.

What's a better camera, a nikon or a canon?

My birthday is coming up and i'm turning 15. I really want a good professional camera because i'm really into photography. What is a better camera for taking pictures of people, landscape, items, and everything? And which has clearer picture cause i'm all about quality and clarity.thanks! Oh and the price shouldnt be under 1, 000 dollars… I think i want the nikon d5100 or the d3100 i'm not sure about the canons though!

My Nikon D7000 would not turn on

At first i thought i had an empty battery but after i fully charged it and put it in the camera showed no sign of power, the viewfinder stayed dim and the small display didn't show the number of remaining shots as it usually did and the camera won't turn on! I recently lost my lens cap and I need to get a new one but I'm confused on which mm size to buy. I still have the original lens btw. So should I buy the 52mm lens cap or is there a different size mm I should buy?
