Nikon D3100. Will a 52mm lens cap fit my lens?

I recently lost my lens cap and I need to get a new one but I'm confused on which mm size to buy. I still have the original lens btw. So should I buy the 52mm lens cap or is there a different size mm I should buy?

I bought a 55mm lens cap cause thats what I thought would work with my D3100, but it was too big, 52mm should work:]

The filter thread size is 52mm.
When in doubt, just check the specs on Nikon's website: http://www.nikonusa.com/....TechSpecs

DSLR's do not use lens caps. The lenses you attach to them do and each one can be different. The 18-55 mm lens uses a 52 mm lens cap and filters as well
The filter size is noted on each lens

If you shoot the 18-55, yes, that takes 52mm
