Nikon D7000 does NOT autofocus
It just shipped to my house yesterday and was working perfectly fine. But after i took a few shots using continuous high option, scene setting and sport shots, it wouldnt autofocus anymore. Even on the autofocus option.somebody please help i paid too much money for this to happen
I have used several different Nikon bodies - D200, D300, D300s.
Autofocus sometimes doesn't work because:
- The lens isn't fully attached, or is not making good contact
- the lens has been switched to manual focus
- the focusing mode is set to M (manual) or C (continuous)
- I have not set the camera to "don't shoot until subject is in focus"
- The lens is too slow, say, 4.0, to focus well.
You could try using a lint-free cloth to wipe the lens's electrical contacts.
Be sure the switch on the side of your lens is set to AF mode.
Be sure one of your camera modes isn't set to manual focus mode.
Read the manual. Money can't buy you that. You really have to read it yourself.
You might have unconsciously set focus to manual. You may also be trying to shoot in the dark. What may be low light to you would already be pitch black darkness to the camera.
