Does anyone make a vertical grip battery pack for the Nikon D50?
I would like to buy a batter pack for my Nikon D50 which also has the vertical grip and shutter release. Does anyone know of anyone who makes one? If so, have you tried it, and do you like it? Also, where could I find them, and how expensive are they?

Looking for a DSLR camera, any recommendations?
Hi, i'm 14 so I'm not looking for anything too expensive, I've saved about 350 bucks, and my parents will pitch in most likely another hundred or so. I just want a camera to take pictures of everyday things, and my friends. Are there any nice DSLRs in that range? I have found a Nikon D40 second-hand and I googled some sample pictures, it looks like it takes good quality pictures. Is this a good camera? I'm sorry if I'm "ametuerish" that is why I came here for your opinions and advice. Thank you!
Added (1). I already have a Sony Digital Camera, but all I really want to improve on, is the photo quality, would that be megapixels?

Critique these 5 photos please?
I love photography, I've been at it for about a year, recently got a nikon d3000, and here's a few photos I've taken with it, I'd really appreciate some opinions and tips!
As you can see, they are on flickr, and have plenty of comments, but on flickr people only comment if they like your photos, you know, there's never real critique like ''nice focus but the composition isn't very good'' or ''the colors are lovely, but i don't like how the background is so clear'' so, I need your help!
Added (1). 1st answer: I'm a little confused? I never put any links to cat photos here? What photos were you talking about!

Professional photo printing companies?
I've been taking photos for a long time and recently my husband and I bought a Nikon D7000. I'm a full time nurse assistant and would also like to take pictures on the side as a small side business. All I have is the camera and tripod, with a few lenses.
There's a woman nearby who has her own photography business but she also doesn't have any fancy equipment. She also has a camera, tripod, with a few lenses plus a small studio where she keeps her props at in town. The majority of the photos she takes are outside on the beach, and she drives to certain locations her clients want their pictures taken.
She doesn't have any photo printers at her home or studio, so when it comes time to print professional prints to give to her clients, she sends them off to some different company that prints them off for her.
I really would like to do the same, so my question is does anyone know of some of these companies I can get to print professional prints off for me from pictures I take off my D7000?

My nikon d5100 stopped working
It's only 2 weeks old and today it stopped working. I can't get a live screen view anymore and can't take pictures. Some guy off the street told me it might be a shutter problem
Please help, I'm on holiday and I need my camera to take photos@!

I was asked if i was interested in taking pictures at a wedding?
A friend of mine asked me if i wanted to take photographs at her relative's wedding. I've got a Nikon D90 along with the 18-105mm kit lens and a 50mm f 1.8, is it good enough for a wedding? I know more than the camera the skill of the person behind the camera matters and also that pictures of one's wedding speak for years to come, however i haven't ever taken photos of this kind so i was wondering if could give it a shot. Would an external flash (SB600) work fine?
