Nikon D3000 for concerts?

Someone is selling their Nikon D3000 for 400 dollars which includes the body kit lens 18-55mm, camera strap, rubber eye cap, cable, instructions, and cd manual. It's supposedly a little less than a year old.
I've posted a few questions regarding several cameras that are able to perform well in concerts that take place at night outdoors. Of course, I want to know if the Nikon D3000 is able to zoom in and capture the objects with good quality.
Is this a good deal and would it be ideal for concerts?
Should I just stick with my Canon PowerShot SD1400?

I'm having problems with my new SD Card?

I just bought a new 8 gig SD Card but never used it. When buying SD Cards I format my card in my camera before taking pictures with my Nikon D3000. The problem I'm having is simple. The camera took pictures wonderfully and I'm now on my computer and having it say I need to format it. I keep saying no but never had this problem before. If I format the card now I will loose all my pictures. How do I fix this problem and view my pictures on my computer, so I can fix them up or upload them to a selling site.

How to turn up the flash on my Nikon D3000?

Like, on Canon cameras you can go to program, then flash, then turn it up, too make the flash brighter.
How do you do this with a Nikon?

Canon 60d (at very good price) or Nikon 5100?

So I kinda asked this question before but I failed to mention prices which are big factors. The nikon d5100 with 18-55mm is $850 and the canon 60d with 18-200mm is $1200. I mainly take pictures of people, sports, macro (insects, flowers), landscapes, and indoor such as house, gym, and church. What camera is better and/or has better features? Also can someone explain to me how I can set up the d5100 to do wireless flash (I know you can the su800 transmitter and speedlight but someone told me there's a cheaper alternative).

Nikon D40 mirror lockup problem?

I can't get my mirror to lock in the up position. I've done it before so I know it worked in the past. I can go to the setup menu, then to mirror lockup and I right arrow the control button to get it to check the box, but when I hit ok, instead of getting the screen display that has the printed directions, it unchecks the box. Hit ok again and it checks the box. When I hit the shutter button, the screen goes back to the original display screen, in other words, back to square one. The battery showed full charge, but I charged it fully and that makes no difference.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or if it's something in the camera (I suspect it's me)? I'm planning on taking off on a motorcycle vacation Wednesday and I need to clean the screen.

Nikon D80 Stopped working? Any ideas why?

When I was taking a photograph I say the low battery simple, so I charged my battery and put it back in the camera and it didn't turn on. I want to a store to buy a new battery, charged it and my camera still didn't turn on. I don't remember my camera getting wet or falling. I haven't taken it to the shop yet because I didn't want to be cheated out of my money because it might be something I can fix. I'm guessing that my charger might not be working but it does light up, so I'm out of ideas! Please help me out

How to upload photos from my Nikon to my computer?

I got a Nikon D70 from my father, and began to take pictures fairly quickly with it. The memory card requires a separate port to plug into the computer and upload images. I can see the photos I took on my camera, and I can see them on my computer, but as soon as I click to upload them, the computer freezes in the "loading" position and does not download the images from the memory card, regardless of how many hours I leave it. Is there anything I can try to fix this?

Does the Canon 60d have a scene mode?

Kind of like on some nikon cameras that have that scene mode that you choose the scene. For example: beach, snow, night portrait, autumn. Also what do you think is better canon 60d or nikon d5100?

First of all I already own dslr cameras. And even though the scene mode is a characteristic of point and shoots, I do see it on dslrs as well. In fact, if you haven't noticed the nikon d7000 has a scene mode. And personally, the d7000 doesn't seem like a point and shoot to me. Also I feel that it is good for the dslr to have modes like that because if you want to get that fast shot you just turn the dial and select the scene (when you don't have time to experiment). Otherwise, thank you for answering my question.
