Can 28mm to 88mm zoom lens be used in new DSLR camera?
I have the Nikon 28-88mm lens that is used in the NIKON N8008 CAMERA, FILM TYPE 2304570, 35mm. I don't know if this lens can be used in the new Nikon DSLR like for example, the D5100.
The 28-80, sure but it's manual focus on the d5100.

yes, you can use it, but you might run into some problems, such as autofocus and metering.
just check out what type of lens you have and then look at the D5100 compatibility
I've got a Nikon 28-80 lens. Yep, it works on my D300, but it won't autofocus on a D5100 or any other entry level Nikon DSLR. You also have to remember, with the DX 1.5x crop factor, a 28-80 lens from an N8008, give your D5100 the effective view of a 42-120mm lens.
