Added (1). And what is the difference between the D5100 and the D3100. I know the D5100 has a flip out screen and that's why I'm edging towards that one but is the D3100 any better internally?
My Nikon D80 monitor has suddenly stopped working right and when I press the play button I see lots of colors and there seems to be a crack across the screen. I do not know what happened to the camera and could not remember it taking a hit or anything of the sort. Is there a way to fix the monitor or would I have to buy a brand new camera? The screen has no physical cracks just when you are trying to view things on the monitor is when you can see that it is broken (none of the viewings work play, menu etc.
How to keep the best quality on a video?
I have a nikon d5100 and i have been making some videos. The file type is a mov which i edit on adobe premiere pro cs3. However when i put them onto adobe, the quality of the file is considerably reduced and as i render the movie and export it, it gets even worse. I transfer the data from memory card and copy it onto my computer. What am i doing wrong? Do i need to convert the video files somehow? Please tell me as i have edited the film up great!
I recently purchased a Nikon D3100 and am having much trouble with the video. The playback on the camera is excellent but the playback on my PC is terrible. I have a Dell Inspiron 530 and also a Fujitsu tablet. I have a brand new class 10 SD card as well. When I tried playback on a friend's mac, it worked smoothly. Is there any solution to my issue?
Nikon D7000: choosing shutter speed?
Hi. I'm sure this is going to sound stupid, but I was wondering if anyone could point me to the button or menu for choosing the shutter speed on the Nikon D7000 camera. I'm not talking about the general options between self timer, quality, etc (S, CL, CH, Q, etc), but really choosing the shutter speed, like 1/500, for example. Is it possible on this camera? Thanks in advance!
Added (1). Right. Of course I know it's in the manual, the reason I'm asking is because I can't find said manual at the moment,
Added (2). Sometimes people just feel like buying a particular thing ok? I felt like buying this camera, so I did and now I have ONE question (I figured out the rest thanks!) and I did say it would sound stupid (I'm fully aware of how elementary shutter speed is), so I would appreaciate it if people could just answer the question or don't bother commenting.
