Can't upload pictures from a Nikon D90?
This weekend I took about 100 pictures with my Nikon D40x then had to switch over to the D90. (All using the same 16g memory card.)
I was able to load both sets of images (100 from the d40x and about 900 from the d90) onto my Mac. ***However, I'm unable to open the ones taken from the D90 in Photoshop.***
Someone told me to update my NEF reader. Is this correct? If so, how do I do that! Is there a link to do it on the Nikon website?
When trying to open a picture in PS it says, "Could not complete your request because PS does not recognize this type of file."

Would a 50mm f/1.8 Canon lens produce good photos?
I have a Canon Rebel XS and I've been wanting to upgrade from the kit lens
someone recommended me the 50 mm and I think I might go with it
The person showed me their photos taken with the lens and it was just what I was looking for. But, this person took the photos with the lens I want to buy but used a Nikon D90.
Will using the same lens, but for my canon rebel xs produce lower quality photos?

With my tax refund next year I'm looking to upgrade to my first SLR camera and the two I have picked out are the Canon T3 & the Nikon D3100.
I will be using the camera mostly for racing action which ranges from NASCAR to Drag racing to off road trucks. The big thing I'm looking to compare are,
*Which does better in low light conditions
*Which does better with focusing on objects far away, I know both come with the same lenses
*Which can shoot more fps
*Which one will do better with faster objects
*Which one will have more add on products such as lenses, flashes, remote firing timers and for a lower cost
*Which one is more versitale in the different conditions
*And Which one has a better battery life because most of the time like at the drags I will be out there 8-10 hours if not more
I know Canon and Nikon SLR cameras are often stated as the "same thing" in most aspects but I would like to know how well the perform in action shooting and I would like for anyone who shoots at races (professional or amateur) to chime in

Any tips on night photography?
For my newest project (which I'm not going into details about) I will need to start taking photographs at night of buildings and such. I've not had much experience with night photography, and i'm unaware of what aperture and ISO I'm supposed to be working with.
I work with a Nikon D5000, my lens is a normal 18-55 mm (I have a more lenses on order)
Could anyone give me tips and tricks I can use for night photography? Anymore kit I need?

Which Camera should i look at buying?
Canon EOS Rebel T3
Nikon D3000
Sony Alpha A290
These are the three cameras I'm looking at. I feel like the D3000 is not the right option. But not too many people online have made much noise about the Sony. I was hoping somebody here did and could provide me with some detail or opinions.

I dropped my Nikon D3100 and the viewfinder is blurry but just barely. Is that repairable?
I dropped my Nikon D3100 and now when I look through the viewfinder, it's just barely blurry even when I try to focus… But when I use the LED screen… It's fine… And the pictures come out fine. Is this repairable?

Is this a gramatically correct statement?
"I believe you that the Nikon D7000 is a good camera, but there are poor countries where not everyone afford one."
