Will the nikon nikkor 35mm f1.8 be equivalent to about a 50mm on a d90?
I have heard people say that the 50mm f1.8 is equivalent to about a 75mm so dose that mean the 35 will be equivalent to about a 50mm
what would be better for party photos and portraits.
How to I accomplish Low Key Photography Like this?
My camera with flash attached will only allow me a shutter speed of 1/200. I'm still getting ambient light on my images. I have a Nikon D5000 and a SB 900 I'm using my 35mm 1.8G lens… Any tips?

Nikon D7000 Autofocus in live view, out of focus?
I've just bought a Nikon D7000 and when I go to auto focus in Live view it will go out of focus… If i press the shutter button half way for a second time it will go even further out of focus… And then eventually it stops focusing what so ever… Any ideas? All i have on the screen is a little rectangle with is either red or green… Help please!
I'm looking for a cheap 18-200mm f/ 2.8 nikon lens
I own a Nikon D5000, I'm currently using a 18-200mm f/4.5-5.6. With this lens i mainly photograph horses on the move and show jumping.
70% of the time i'm indoors with less than perfect light. I'm having problems with keeping the ISO/ noise low and getting sharp crisp shots!
I don't think a flash could help me that much, correct me if i'm wrong.
What sites are good for cheap lenses?

Is there a difference between the Australian and American version of the Nikon D3100?
I'm looking at a Australian version of a Nikon D3100 and it's significantly cheaper than the "American" version. Is there a difference? Or is it the same exact thing?
What camera is used to take these photos?
I love the way these shots are taken. The quality is really great, but I know there are some photos that look exactly like these but are taken with a film camera.
I'd like to know what DIGITAL camera or type of digital camera can be used to take these types of photos.
I tried looking at the photo's info on Flickr, but most users don't post what camera they used to take the shot.
One of them listed a Nikon D60, but I'm sure there are more digital/SLR cameras out there that also take these type of shots.

How to change setting on my nikon d40 camera?
I want to set my Nikon D40 to count photos as I take them, instead of counting down how many photos I have left to take that fit on my memory card. I'm photographing an event where there will be many group photos, and to keep track of who is in each photo, I'm going to give each person in each photo a ticket with the photo # on it, so when they order the photos they want I can go in my computer, find their # file and print it. Is there a way to make it so it shows the # of the photo on my camera screen and keeps the same number when I put it into my computer?

How to take pictures of a circus with Nikon D3000?
What's the best setting of taking pictures inside a circus with the Nikon D3000? When I take pictures of concerts or at events my pictures come out too blurry and has too much noise. Does anyone know what's the best settings, ISO setting, and white balance?
When VR is on in 18-55mm
and while seeing in viewfinder if I press half shutter button it'll be auto focused but when I release shutter (shutter button without pressing further) button image in viewfinder will shift a little (very little if carefully observed)!
But when I switch off the VR image shifting is not seen in viewfinder.
Is this common in all DSLR?
Although image is not affected. I just wanted to know…
