Why won't my Nikon D3100 take a picture?
Usually it just focuses but then when i actually press the shutter, it won't take the picture. I'm so frustrated, I just bought this camera today and was so excited to start using it. Any help?

Hello everybody i'm planing of buying a DSLR camera its not my first camera i had a Nikon p500 camera and i want to upgrade it… I'm confused between 2 cameras
1) Canon DSLR EOS 1100D With 18-55mm IS Kit
2) Nikon DSLR D3100 with 18-55mm VR Kit Camera
please advice me i'm confused
What dslr camera would be the best?
I guess you could say i'm a begginner interested in photography. I own a compact camera, canon powershot. I also have a film camera, its a minolta slr x-700. I really do like the minolta, but printing film pictures is costly, much more than printing normal digital pictures. So i'm thinking of buying a dslr, if that would be worth it?
i've done the most research on the nikon d3000 and even though it is the most affordable nikon, it's still high.buying a $200-$300 camera would be a dream, but i don't think that will buy what i'd like.
i've also heard of the canon eos rebel, but i don't know much about it, and i don't really like my canon powershot, but probably just because it's not a dslr.there's also the canon t2i(?) and i don't really know anything about it.
the things i want for my camera are:
manual, manual electronic balance, and automatic settings.
ability to take pictures in the dark, like fireworks or stars, also pictures of people in the dark.
interchangeable lenses. Not a must, but definate plus. I really like fisheye lenses and black and white lenses, so that's why i'd like interchangeable lenses.
what dlsr would you recommend to me? & why? Feel free to name things not on the list.consider price.something under $800.so $200-$800.around $500 would be a good compromise. Or should i just keep the minolta?
Why is my nikon d3100 saying error?
My camera says error press shutter release button again and it has a dark blurry film when i look through the lens
Added (1). My boyfriend was cleaning off my bed and threw my very nice camera on the floor after all ready being broken and i picked it up angerly and vwlla it was fixed it must have been a reversal from being dropped before

I have a Nikon d5000 and I really want to buy a zoom lens. I'm wanting to get a 55-300mm… I found two that are the same length, but they have different letters and numbers. One is way cheaper, but I don't know what the difference is.
One is Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Nikkor SLR Camera Lens $164
And the other one is Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens for Nikon Digital SLR $350

I have a Nikon D5100 and was wondering something?
The lens it has now is a 18-55mm and i was wanting to get it up to 300mm or 400mm so i can take pictures of fast movinf animals and people. So my question is, should i but a teleconverter or just but another lens that is at 300mm or 400mm? If i should get a teleconverter that would get my camera to 300mm or 400mm which one should i but that's is fairly priced? If i must buy a lens then which lens should i choose? Please no rude comments or put downs?

I was wondering about this kit? I have never used strobes before this is a first. I'm familiar with continuous lighting thats what I have. Portraits is mainly what I do Senior, family, maternity, new born. I have a fairly good dbusiness base where I'm from, and i'm looking to advnce to something a little more from continuous lighting.basically I just want user opinion is this a good buy or a wast of money? If you have this set would you mind posting some shots that you have done so I may get a feel for what I can do., I shoot with a Nikon D7000 which I LOVE! P.s. This is the SAME kit they were trying to sell me in the store, but about 200 dollars cheaper then what they were trying to sell me. I'm a little hesitant to buy from amazon but hey if I can save 200 dollars then why nor? :}
I got the Nikon D5100 for my brithday, is it better than the D90?
I love the D5100, i don't like the flip out screen though! But, is it better than my brothers D90? Personally i don't think it is, just from taking pictures, but is it really better or worse?
