D90 Fashion Show lenses?

Hi, planning on getting a Nikon D90. Which lense would you recommend to buy to snap shots at fashion shows? As this is most for what I'd be using it. Small shows for girls moving around the area. Also, a fairly good portrait lense? Not to expensive ehh?

Best accessory for a starting photographer for under $100?

My sister plans on becoming a photographer and going to school next year for it. She already has two cameras-- Nikon D3000 and Nikon D7000 that she bought recently. She has the standard lens and a couple other lens that came with the kit she bought and a carrying case. Things I know she needs, but that I can't buy her because they are too expensive: flash, other lens, etc. Any suggestion on what I can get her (its for Christmas) that could help her that would be under $100? Even if its from Ebay, where I could get a better deal. I know she'll need a better photo editing software program, but only has paid subscription "Picnik" for now. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Added (1). Additional info: She has mainly been doing outdoor photography with families, senior photos, and just recently did a couple weddings.

Added (2). Thanks for the ideas! She does have a 16 GB memory card. I would rather give her a gift, but if nothing else I could do the gift card.

Can I use a Nissin Di466 flash with my Nikon D3100 via a wireless flash trigger?

Will the iTTL function be available with this setup?

Added (1). Thanks Luke. What I want to know is whether I can use the cheap flash triggers (found on ebay @ around 25 USD) with this setup and make use of the iTTL function.

When I take a picture on my nikon, why is something upclose so blurry, but far away clear?

I own a Nikon D5100. And when I press the shutter button halfway it doesn't try to focus anymore like it used to, it worked fine last night, and I tried going in the daylight for better lighting and its still doesn't work. The switch on the lenses with the A and M its set to A BTW.

What's a better lens for Photography?

I've been doing Photography for 10 months now and I shoot with a Nikon D3100. I'm 14 years old turning on 15 this December. I only shoot with my stock 18-55 and bought a 50mm 1.8. There both good lenses but I really think I need an upgrade. I shoot mostly landscape and allot of skylines. So Cityscape as well. I borrowed a 12-24mm from a friend and LOVED it. But seemed a bit off on the AF. But maybe it was just because its used? I don't know. And it was a Nikkor. But I'm also looking at the 10-20mm Tokina? I think thats it or a 14mm? I haven't really researched those lens so I don't know the differences between them besides what's wider. So what's the best lens for shooting City & landscape? What's the best brand to get? My dad said he'll get me one for christmas. So I'm stoked for that, but please. Give some informational facts about the differences and what brand to get etc. Please serious questions. Stupid ones will be deleted. Thanks

Nikon D3100 video transfer?

I started using Nikon D3100 a few months back. The only regret is I can't play videos on my computer (no problems of playing back in the camera). The videos from my camera can be transferred to the computer but when I play it, an error message pops up saying "The codec could not be found." How do I solve this? I transfer the videos using Nikon ViewNX 2 or Nikon Transfer 2 and plays them using GOM or Quicktime player. My computer runs on Windows XP

Added (1). The thing is I can't even play them on my computer. How do i solve this?

Is there a lens like this for the nikon d5100?

Is there a lens that has a very wide aperture but can still shoot to 300mm and have great quality images that are very sharp. So is there a lens for the nikon d5100 that is very wide but also is very long? I have looked but can't seem to find any that are not over 800 dollars.

Added (1). I would be using it for regular photos but also shooting wildlife from afar. I would like a lens that could take a photo of a flying bird and not be blurred and could also take family pictures. I would also need a lens for sporting events. Is there a lens like this? How much? Are there any cheap ones?

Nikon D90: Shooting on Manual produces all black photos?

A few nights ago I was doing a photo project in the dark and was messing with my settings. Ever since, when I take a photo on Manual the photo shows up completely dark like it didn't let any light in. I tried to change all of the settings that affect the light, and I reset the settings completely back to the cameras standards. Still, it is producing photos that are black no matter what. I don't know what to do or what I did and I would really appreciate any insight.
