Is the Sigma 70-300mm lens compatible with the Nikon D5100?

I'm interested in purchasing more lenses for my Nikon D5100. On the website's description, it states "Designed for use with full frame digital SLR cameras. May also be used with smaller APS-c size sensors with a corresponding effective increase in focal length to about 100 to 450mm with most cameras." What is sharpening in cameras?

The page for it in Nikon D90 owner's manual seems vague. It has settings of 0-9. IF it were to make every photo extremely sharp, why doesn't Nikon just default to 9?

Added (1). On camera you go from Menu, Vivid, Sharpening.

I have a Nikon D3000 camera and was looking to buy a lens that would be good for landscapes. Anyone know of any lenses they think are good and would be recommended to use for landscapes that fit my camera?

Just looking for opions and reasons, should i buy a Canon 550d (600d) or Nikon 5100d, i'm still looking for what area of photography i want to shoot.

( i can also afford canon 60d but not the d7000 as its 500 more.)

i will try them in the shops, i have rather large hands if it helps.

Which DSLR is a better deal?

I have decided on a d5100 as a dslr ( thou still open to canon 600d or 60d) needing your opinion on which is a better deal. Buying from kogan online, grey market, yet aust warranty which includes the standard kit ( 18mm-55mm ). Or take advantage of Harvey Normans 20% canons and Nikon's and get the d5100 with twin lens kit ( 18mm-55mm & 55mm - 300mm) uses will be landscape, travel and portrait.

Why is the Nikon MB-D80 (MBD80) Battery Grips so cheap on ebay?

I want to get a Nikon MB-D80 (MBD80) Battery Grips for my d90 so i looked on ebay and most of them are under under $100 is there something different about them or are they just really cheap

Can I print out digital photographs?

Okay so I want to start taking pictures since i noticed i'm kind of good at it but i want to know if i have like a flash drive or a memory card can i take it into a store and have them print them out.obviously for a price but i wanted to know if i could do that. And where? I thought about fedex but i'm pretty sure they don't so any suggestions oh and I'm going to be getting a Nikon D5100 camera but i don't know what kind of memory card to get? I have one called fuji film or something like that but i don't now weather it'll fit or not?

Problems with nikon D3000?

Ok so i can upload my picturs from my camera to my computer but i can't upload them to socal websites like facebook.
when i do they come out real small:/ it would mean a lot to me if you could tell me what to do.

Hacking the menu of a nikon d40?

Is there any way to hack the d40 so i can use my color options as i shoot, instead of after? I'd like to be able to shoot in black and white, as opposed to using the retouch menu after the pic is taken.
