How much would i get for selling my Nikon D60?
I've got a Nikon D60, really good condition. I also have Nikon's 18-55mm and also Nikon's 55-200mm lens. I also have a carry bag too which cost around £30 brand new.
This is what the kit cost brand new
Nikon D60 with 18-55mm lens - £349.99
Nikon 55-200mm lens - £119.99
Carry Bag (Non Branded) - £29.99
Total £499.97
How much can i get for selling it as a lot. I'm looking to raise some funds for a new camera
Given the new price you might start by asking 300 and be ready to come down.
Realisticly £150. But negotiate from the £300 point as suggested.
The "rule of thumb" is about 50% of what you paid.
Take your gear into a couple of local camera shops and ask what the outright selling price and trade-in price is. A lot of times, the trade-in price they quote you is about 80% of what you could get for a private sale but you don't have to wait for someone to buy it (and the new camera is that much less).
£180-200 for the body
£50 for the 18-55
£80-100 for the 55-200
Throw in the bag for free.
HOWEVER, it does make more sense to just sell the body, and maybe the kit lens. Then put the funds you get from that into a D90 with 18-105mm kit, or a D7000 with 18-105mm kit. You'll save your money working this way.
