Just wondering what you believe is the best setting to take portraits in natural lighting.
I have a nikon D40 with a AF-S NIKKOR 50mm 1.8G

photographing young infants with natural lighting mainly inside.

Is this Lens good for Sports?

i plan on getting a D5100

it's either one of the following lenses to buy:

Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8D ED AF ($1100)

or

Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom ($1400)

the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II AF-S is just way to much money for me
