Looking to buy a DSLR?

I'm stuck between a Canon T3i & a Nikon D5100.
Any suggestions? Which one offers better quality?

I bought a nikon, and I didn't like it, my sister bought a canon and it was so much better quality. Like more professional. We spent the same money.

Nikon & Canon are equal. Go to a store that sells both and hold each one in your hand. Choose the one that feels right to you.

Here is a link that may help you decide.
It compares the two cameras sensors, one on one. This will show you how well each cameras sensors perform under different ways, colour depth, dynamic range and high ISO settings.

As you can see, the D5100 has a sensor that performs much better than the T3i especially in the area of shooting in low light

You really think it's just so simple to say that Canon T3i has better quality. How could anyone even measure that? You take the picture, not the camera right? If you're photographing a boring place or a boring subject, even the best camera wouldn't make it look good.
All DSLRs have the same quality. D5100 has one stop higher ISO, 2 more AF points, no AF motor, T3i has 60fps in HD video, better audio and an ISO button.
