Yes. You want a telephoto lens. You can but a fixed focal length lens or a variable zoom lens e.g.

Nikon 180mm f2.8 D AF IF-ED

Firstly, always try and buy OEM lenses (lenses made by the camera manufacturer) and keep away from after market lenses as cheap glass usually equates to poorer imagery. Ask yourself the question what focal length do I need. All these questions are answered on Nikon's website of suitable lenses together with all the lens specifications.

You can buy a lens for any dSLR that will make far objects seem near or you can walk there yourself and save yourself a bundle of cash. Zoom, forget about it. You're in the dSLR world already. Learn focal length.
