Hi
I'm going to Korea on my holiday, and I'm taking my DSLR (Nikon D3100). I don't plan on using it in Korea (I'll be using it in my next destination), but am concerned about it being stored in my suitcase esp. With the freezing temperatures. I've read a few websites, and most of them are just about using it outside then bringing it back in, whereas I'm going to not use mine at all.
Are there any steps I can take to ensure that it won't die whilst being in my suitcase. I have no idea how the temperature inside my suitcase will be so will simply putting it in a zip lock bag and into its bag alright?

I have the heart construction paper over the lens, i'm using a 200mm lens, the shutter speed is 1/20 sec, the aperture is f5.3(I can't make it any lower and I don't know why, I know it's supposed to be like f1.8) but I don't know how to make it lower? I think this might be the problem because it looks great when i'm about to take the picture, it focuses on my subject but the camera doesn't let me take the picture because it says "subject is too dark" since the construction paper is black. When I remove the construction paper, it takes the picture but I want the hearts.

I own a Nikon D5100. I do understand that 1.8G will Auto-focus and 1.8D won't coz of lack of internal focus motor. But the cost difference is a lot. (6k and 12k which is double) Help me out. I take many shots in Manual but then at 50mm auto-focus would be handy at times. Any help? Am planning next lens to be Sigma 70-300mm, but not now.
Hi, I have a like brand new Nikon D90 kit with 18-105mm lens and 70-300mm lens, comes with filters too. Camera bag with fits everything. Someone wants to trade a late 2008 Macbook Pro 15.4' 2.4ghz with Microsoft office 2011 and photoshop, they also just got a new 4gb ram and battery. The mac is in excellent condition. The deal is there macbook and $550 cash for my nikon d90 kit.
What i want to know is, is this a good deal for me? Also will the macbook be good for me in college, which is in half a year.
