How to take high resolution pictures?

I have a Nikon D3100 and I was wondering on how I can take pictures that are very clear, HD, and High Resolution. If any of you have a tumblr and seen some of the popular picture blogs with clear pictures, those are the types of pictures I'm talking about. Do I need photo editing software like PhotoShop? Here are some of the pictures I'm talking about:

Good Lens Upgrade from the 18-55 Kit Lens? - 1

I already have a 55-300mm zoom so please don't suggest any zoom lenses, I also have a good macro so don't suggest any of those either.

I would just like one for general picture taking, an all around good lens. I have a Nikon D90.

Fashion photography ins and outs?

So I've been involved with photography for a good 2 to 3 years now and I currently have the following lenses:
-TAMRON AF70-300mm Macro 1:2 Lens
-Nikon 17-30mm standard lens

I also have a few filters for them aswell.

My main question. I'm really interested in fashion photography and it's something I think I'd like to study a little further and really get to grips with and essentially take STUNNING photos. I need a little help though.

- which lens(es) are the best for fashion photography?
- which filter(s), if any, benefit fashion photography?
- can you recommend a decent flashgun? (I have a sunpak one atm, and the amount of time it takes to load between flashes is RIDICULOUS!)

I have a Nikon D40, any other make/model better for fashion specifically?

Are there any third party brand flashes that act as a master flash for a Nikon d5000?

I own a Nikon d5000, which has no on camera wireless flash command, and a Nikon sb 50dx flash. Is there a third party brand flash ie bower, sunpack, etc… Which will function as a master flash for my sb 50dx? I'm not looking to drop $350 on a sb700.

Opinions on Nikon D3000 camera?

I really like it, & am considering buying it. & I was wondering what you had to say about it?

Added (1). It looks like the only difference between the D3000 & D3100, is that the D3100 films HD movie. Which I really don't need.

Added (2). I do not need video at all

How to take multiple pictures on a Nikon D3100?

I've been wondering for awhile how I could take multiple photos on my camera without having to go back and touch it. Like the camera would take 4 shots with 5 seconds between each one. I don't have the manual and I can't find it in it anyway.

I have a Nikon D3100

Which camera is a better buy?

I'm a first time buyer and I'm trying to decide which camera to buy between the following two: Samsung NX11 or Nikon D40.

The price for the two are not problems, I was just wondering which has better performance and would be better for beginners. Please do not give me more options for different cameras because I have decided that I'm buying one of these absolutely. I have watched hours of reviews for each of these, now I just need help for deciding!

Uploading raw image files with Windows Photo Gallery?

I recently got a new camera. It's a Nikon D3100 and I shoot in raw. My problem is, when I just tried to import the pictures to my computer (a Dell with Windows 7), it doesn't work! It imports the pictures but then when I try to access the files on my computer this message shows up: "Photo Gallery can't open this photo or video. This file format is not supported, or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Gallery." When the pictures were imported to the computer they were deleted from the camera! Is there any way I can get them back? And what do I need to do to get a program that will support raw files? What programs are capable of that? Any suggestions are much appreciated!
