Opinion on which DSLR to get?

I went to this camera shop and found that the Canon EOS 1100D/Rebel T3 was being offered with a 18-55mm + 55-250mm Lens Kit for 800$
They had the Nikon D3100 (The camera I had settled on buying) with only the 18-55mm lens for 650$
Now I've heard that the D3100 is a little bit better than the 1100D and I prefer the D3100 over the 1100D as well
So should I go for the Canon or stick with the Nikon?

What Nikon Camera fits my wants?

Well i'm debating whether i should get wither Nikon D5000, Nikon D3100, or Nikon D5100. But the problem is that i'm in a tight budget so i have to fit wisely cause the Nikon D5000 is good and all but super expensive at $800. And that's ALOT! I want a camera for Architectural Photography and Landscape and all and i want something super good that has a super HD feel. Since i don't know much about Cameras i don't know which one fits my needs and which one has things i wouldnt need that much. For any of you pro photographers out there that know about these cameras, Please help me pick any of these two (Nikon D5000 & D3100) that are similar as the Nikon D5100! Please list the positives and Negatives, Thanks very much: P

I'm in the market for a new lens for my Nikon DSLR?

And I want to be able to get a DOF like this:

image

I only have my kit lens that came with my D3000 and I've read all the book and all the websites but no matter what I do or how hard I try, it never turns out like this. It's too dark, blurry - sometimes it aaalmost there, but not quite…

What lens would you recommend? I'm nervous about laying down a lot of money for a lens that might still disappoint.

Why macro won't really work in my Nikon?

I have a d3100 with a 55-200 lens, and when i want to use the macro, it does not work, it won't get close. Its blurry. Does it mean that this type of lens is the wrong one?

Optimal settings for a concert with a Nikon d5100?

Okay so I have a Nikon d5100 which I just recently got so I'm fairly new to all the settings and I'm going to a concert. What would be the best settings to put my camera too? [so I can save myself all the testing of settings from aperature to shutterspeed and tons of blurry pictures].

so basic manual settings that you would use for a concert?

shutter speed? Aperature? Etc?

Which starter Digital SLR?

I've recently been looking to upgrade from my advanced point and shoot camera, to a starter level DSLR. I have good reason to name the two that I'm torn between. The first is the Canon rebel t3, and the second is the Nikon 3100. I have previously taken a class in which I used the canon rebel t3, and a friend of my has a Nikon 3100, and I've used that before. I'm really not looking to spend over $600 on the starter lens and camera body. As I said, I'm just beginning to explore the world of DSLRs. I like both of the cameras I've mentioned, and I'm trying to figure out which one to get. If you can think of any other DSLRs under $600, I'd really like to find out what they are.

Added (1). I'm now also looking at the canon eos rebel t2i, because it looked about the same price as the Nikon d3100, and it also looks good
