Is this battery safe to use for my Nikon?
It's super cheap and gets great reviews, but I'm still extremely hesitant to use for my Nikon D5000. Suggestions?

Is a Canon Powershot sx40 is better? Or a nikon d3100?
Should i save up a little extra for the d3100? Or just go with the sx40? Does anyone have any experience with em?

Is it possible to modify my Nikon d5000 to take exposures longer than 30 seconds?
I have a Nikon d5000 and I want to use it for astro-photography.
I know some people are modifying their cameras to allow for IR light to pass through, but I want to use a longer exposure instead, or possibly in parallel.
Is there a way for me to make the camera take an exposure longer than the 30second maximum that it comes with?

Is it safe/wise to use a cheap 3rd party battery in my Nikon D40 camera?
The Nikon battery has died on my Nikon D40 and a genuine Nikon battery costs a fortune, I'm tempted to buy a cheap 3rd party battery from eBay. Will this damage my much loved Nikon D40 camera.
I don't like the new generation of DSLR camera's. If I wanted a movie camera I would have bought a movie camera, And they are crammed full of unnecessary pixels, Do I really need 18 MP?
I want to keep my little D40 until it does not work anymore. There's far to much "Throw away" in this World.
Sorry I'm waffling now.
Can I safely use a cheap 3rd party battery in my Nikon D40 Camera.

I feel bad, my new Nikon d90 has a stuck pixel (3 small dots on the LCD), what to do?
I was not able to recognize the manufacturer's defect, definitely I'm not eligible for the 7days replacement policy. I have 1 year warranty, (hot, dead and stuck pixel issues are excluded) can this issue still be fix? I bought it in Hidalgo st. Philippines for 48k TT. It's one month old

Which of these two lenses would work better on my Nikon D5000?
Which of these lenses would be a better fit for my Nikon D5000? I have tried them both and fear I'm not experienced enough to see a difference. I put a link to a comparison thing but a lot of the terms I don't understand. All I understand it that one was cost almost 3 times as much. What do you all think?
Thanks guys o and quick note I know the Tamron is noisy but that doesn't matter to me. Please explain reasons as best you can.
