What nikon slr camera is good for a beginner?
I'm wanting to buy a SLR camera to take pictures of my little girls and family photos. Would like one that maybe does a little HD video, too. However, I'm not a camera or photography guru by any means. I have friends that have Nikons and take awesome pictures so I want to know what type of Nikon (D60, D3000?) would be a user-friendly type. What lens I should look for, or any specialities to look for when making the purchase. Something, that has an easy navigating menu.

Looking for a camera like the Nikon D7000 without the price?
Looking for a camera with the same video quality or something close that is cheaper than £550 if anyone has any suggestions let me know please.

Is this D3100 bundle worth the money?
Nikon D3100 kit (w/ 18-55mm) + 55-200mm Lense.
2 8gb sd cards, bag and lens bag.
all for 375$
let me know please

About to purchase my first dslr
I've been researching dslrs for some time now, and for what I plan on doing NIKON is my brand. For a long time I was set on the d90, but then I found the d7000 and fell in love. Yes I've also thought about the 3100, 5000, and the 5100. I just don't want a camera I'm going to grow out of in a few years. I plan on having this camera for a long time. I just want to know if this is a good option.
Added (1). Thanks ya'll! It's definitely between the d90 and the d7000, I myself do not care about the video part so that doesn't matter to me. I also am big on the 39 auto focus points and the dual memory card! I also like that the d7000 is compatible with older lenses as well as new ones.

If the Yongnuo YN-560 Speedlight Flash will work on my Nikon D3100?
Does anyone know if the Yongnuo YN-560 Speedlight Flash will work on my Nikon D3100?

I just received a Pentax K1000 from my school for a photography class, and I doubt it has been cleaned since it was purchased. You can see in the first roll of film I took the dirt and dust that has built up over the years. How can I do a thorough cleaning without damaging the camera? I'm not well versed in film cameras, I've been using my Nikon D5000, so I'm not sure how to clean it without damaging it.

Yongnuo Flash For My Nikon D5000 compatable with series e lens?
I got some older lenses, and my sb400 doesn't work with these older lenses it says.
"Flash is in TTL Mode chose another setting or use a CPU Lens"
So by me selling my sb400 and getting a Yongnuo Speedlight, will it let me use the flash since the yongnuo has manual settings that you adjust on the speed light itself? Just curious i really love these olders lenses and would love some bounce flashes here and there.
Let me know and thank you a bunch.

Can anyone tell me if the
Tamron SP AF 17-50mm F/2.8 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) would work on my Nikon D5100? As in, will it work like Nikon's AF-S lenses? In short, will the Auto-focus motor work on my D5100 which doesn't have an in-built AF motor.
Sorry about the lame way of asking this question. I'm in a hurry to buy this lens, so am trying to put it in all possible ways…
Added (1). Also, let me know what VC stands for in:
Tamron SP AF 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II VC LD Aspherical (IF)
is it something to do with reducing vibrations?

Portrait lenses for close model photography?
I have seen some photographer have their model kneel, and then the photograph gets really close and angles the camera and lens upwards to models face. My question is, what is an affordable lens that can do that? I use a D90 Nikon, so am happy to hear about lenses from tamron and Sigma, plus other makes for Nikon camera.
