I'm looking to begin a photography hobby?

And I'm currently looking for cameras. I believe I have enough skill with photography and I have become bored with P&S's. I also do not really want to blow all my budget on a camera, because I plan on buying lenses. I found this Nikon D80 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...amera.html for $450. I know it is an old camera, and for more advanced users but should I consider that camera over a Canon Rebel ti2 or a Nikon D5100?

Good free noise removal program for photos?

I took some pictures in the evening with my Nikon D3100, they look okay but the sky is noticeably grainy. I have both RAW and JPG versions of the photos, but am particularly interested in working with the RAWs since I heard that gives better results - I'm still kind of new to the whole DSLR photography thing. Are there any good freeware programs that can remove the noise? Must be Windows compatible, I'm running 7.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Camera lens hood dilemma

My camera a nikon d3000 dslr with a 18-55mm vr lens
would a 52-77mm step up ring with a 77mm rubber lens hood look silly or too big
at present i have a 52mm rubber lens hood but i get vignetting in all 4 corners
would a larger and wider lens hood say 77mm solve the vignetting problem… Any help would be grateful.

AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D?

I just need the heads up on these lenses, ie I now that the f1.4 is a stop faster than the f1.8 and the AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D and AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.4D is the older version of the new AF Nikkor 85mm f/1.4g.
They say in write ups you can use the f1, 4d for inside sports. But it is not mentioned in the write up on the f1.4g or the f1.8d or g can anyone tell if it is ok for ice hockey/figure skating.
The light in the rink is as bad as it can be, so please take this in to account when answering, ooh and I do now about Nikon 70-200 and its price! To dear for me. Thanks

Added (1). I have a Nikon D7000 so I'm trying to find best lenses I can without going to lenses like sigma, I now they are probably good lenes but it would be like putting a ford engine in a rolls royce

Best lens for shooting video nikon d5100?

I'm thinking of buying the body only and then purchasing an aftermarket lens that would be best for high def video recording.
what would be the best lens for this, or should i just go for the twin lens kit?
