Is the Nikon d60 still worth it today?
Might get that or d3100. Any thoughts
The D60 is long discontinued and hard to find in "new" condition. The D3100 is current, and a more advanced camera. I'd go with the D3100.
Well the problem is that in that day the technology was way more expensive that it is today because of manufacturing techniques and other things.
Today, that's changed. Higher mp counts, more technology, better data recording techniques all have come way down in price.
It depends on your outlook I guess. If you want the D60 then you'll have to pay for it.
I'm a Canon guy and I always recommend what I own and know. For my money you'd be better off with the Rebel t2i or t3i. Both are 18mp as opposed to 10 and both do HD video.
Go for latest technology. D3100 has better high ISO capabilities if your budget permits.otherwise play with slightly old technology & get your skill right. You most likely ends up buying better spec camera
