SB 16A flash on a Nikon D3000 body?

Prasat
I have an old Nikon SB 16A flash in mint condition. Can I use it without any problems on a Nikon D3000 body?

According to http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html the SB16 has a safe trigger voltage. As far as the 16A, it should be safe, BUT it would be best to test it first with an ohmmeter… (read "How to Check the Trigger Voltage" )http://www.botzilla.com/photo/g1strobe.html
Whenever I'm in doubt using an older flash, I use a Wein safe-sync… Http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/245292-REG/Wein_W990560_Safe_Sync_Hot_Shoe_to.html
