Can i use a Film Camera for a Fashion Show?
So there's a fashion show coming up on saturday, and i can't find my digital (Nikon D3100). The only camera i have is my Visitar Film Camera (35mm SLR). Now this fashion show is going to be fast paced and i'm worried my film camera will be too slow! Do you think i can use this Camera for this fashion show? Should i try to borrowing a digital Camera? If so What camera do you recommend?
Added (1). So i found my digital Camera lol. Yeah my house is under renovation so i couldnt find it.
I think the digital will be better for quick-fire shots, the film is a bit slow.

Nikon D90 Lens suggestions please?
I own a Nikon D90 with the 50 mm lens, which is great.looking to buy another lens, and don't really want a zoom lens (i use my dslr mostly for indoors/potraits/sports and use a smaller camera for travel). Looking for another prime lens below $300, which can be used on any future camera body upgrades. Can you please suggest between Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens or Nikon 35mm f/2D AF Wide-Angle Nikkor Lens? Will FX lens work fine on DX camera? The 50mm gives great pictures for the price, and looking for something similar.

Can I take Professional Photos with this Nikon?

Best Macro lens for the money (D3100 body)?
I have a D3100 and am looking to buy a macro lens without spending $800.So far I've looked at the:
85mm Nikon AF-S Micro
Nikon AF-D 105mm (used they sell cheaper than a new AF-S 60mm)
Nikon AI-S 105mm (cheapest used but looks like there's a metering issue with the D3100)
Sigma EX-DG 105mm
I started out thinking that a 60mm would be sufficient but have read a lot of reviews where people wish they had at least a 105mm. I also want to note that the subjects I want to shoot will be still (not really looking to capture bugs and such).
I would really like to keep it under $600 so that's why I'm exploring used options (assuming a used 105mm will be better than a new 60mm).

Compact system camera advice, confused
Currently using a nikon d40 and a Nikon 3100 dslr, looking to purchase a Csc but am confused which too buy! I have been looking at the Nikon 1 j1, the Panasonic llumix DMC g3 and the Sony nex c3. All roughly the same price. Any guidance or your reviews would be great. I'm after the basic functions of an slr without the bulkiness.
Btw I live in he uk for what difference it makes.
Cheers

Which lens is best for a Nikon D40 for portraits?
I currently have a 55-200mm lens that I love, but I'm wondering what the best lens is for portraits. I find that I have to stand pretty far away with my lens.

I have a Nikon D40. What are some tips so I get crisp photos?
Do I need a tripod?
Are there any settings that improve the sharpness?
I have noticed that in some of my photos, certain areas seem super focused and clear, and other areas are a little blurry… I know it's the way the camera is focusing in more on the closer objects. Is there a way to avoid this? I haven't found a setting that tells my camera how to focus on an area vs. The closest object.
