Absolutely. It's not the camera that makes the photographer. A disposable point-and-shoot in the hands of a seasoned pro will give better results than the highest megapixel camera in the hands of an idiot. Some artists even like turning their high end DSLRs into digital pinhole cameras.

And remember: a professional photographer is someone who gets paid to take pictures.

I've been commissioned and paid to take photos with an old Fuji point and shoot.
This camera blows that camera away.
When you ask "Can I take professional photos with this nikon?" you really should be asking "can I take professional photos". If you are asking this question, the camera's photos will be every bit as good as you can make them. So you are the limiting factor, the bottleneck so to speak.
Short answer: Only if you can take professional photos anyway.

Professional does not mean good. Only professionals take professional photos. And there are professionals out there who aren't even good.

Professionals know about photography. Do you know about composition, the exposure triangle, the rule of thirds (and when to ignore it?), lighting, how to use depth of field, the Golden Hour for landscapes? If you do, then you can take professional photos with this camera. If you don't, you will not be able to take professional photos with this or any other camera. Top Tip for today: a camera is a tool. Nothing more. If you used the same saucepans and cooker as Gordon Ramsay, would your bechamel sauce taste like his?

If you are a professional - yes.
Otherwise - no.
No professional ever asked for "tips" so I guess you haven't even read the manual yet.
