I was looking into buying a new camera. I will be taking photos that have to be high quality and YouTube videos that I really want to be 1080p HD. I know the YouTuber, brendagoesrawr, has the Nikon D3100 and I love her video quality! I found it on sale for $549. I was wondering, though, if the Cannon EOS Rebel T3 DSLR Camera w/ 18-55mm (I know thats a lot longer haha) is better? They are both the same price so I was wondering if anyone had experience with it.
Is there any cameras that are just as good as the Nikon D3100?
I'm really thinking about purchasing this camera. But the only thing I don't like about it is, is that it's 2 years old. Is there any cameras that are just as good as the Nikon D3100 that are maybe at least a year newer?

I've tried so many different things and can't make it auto focus. It only focus's with the shutter half down.
will i need to reset it? If so what does this mean and how do i do it/

What is wrong with my dslr? It's refusing to shoot video?
Okay, before you say that my sd card may not have enough battery, my SD card is 4GB, and I just shot a 6 minute video and it was 881 MB, so that is not the problem.
my nikon d3100 is supposed to shoot video in ten minute intervals, but it's not doing so, and it hasn't been for a while. I don't know why, does anyone know what might be the problem? I have tried resetting both the camera and reformatting my SD card, but nothing.
Have a Nikon D7000, think I want a Canon 5d (original) instead?
I currently own a D7k w/ about 15k shutter clicks and have owned 6 other Nikons. I really enjoy my D7k, it has had no issues but I often want wider shots. I don't often take pictures past 100mm on a cropped sensor so I'm thinking full-frame might be for me. The only Canon I've owned was a 40d and didn't care for it. Two questions: Does a full-frame sensor really allow more light which would have me using lower ISO settings and thus better image quality? Also, does anyone think the original 5d is dated technology? I was Really impressed by the colors that came through on the 5d even though it's 6-7 years old. Plus, you can pick one up for $700-$800, and I think that's a steal.
I have been given a makinon lens but it does not fit on my nikon D5000?
I have a Nikon D5000 and was given a Makinon lens. I know that I need some sort of adapter but unsure as to where I should start looking. Any help would be appreciated so that I can use this lens on my camera! Thank you
