Will a zeikos 58mm telephoto lens fit onto a Nikon D5100 camera?
Will a zeikos 58mm telephoto lens fit onto a Nikon D5100 camera?
A 58mm lens is not much of a telephoto lens, and not much of an improvement over your 18-55mm kit lens. In fact, it will probably be optically worse than your kit lens.
Now if you are referring to a telephoto adapter lens, with a 58mm filter thread - then no, your kit lens uses a 52mm thread, so it would not work. And that is good, as using an adapter lens is perhaps the worst possible thing you could do to your camera to reduce image quality.
A common mistake with first time DSLR owners is spending a lot of money on a camera, then skimping on the lenses. The greatest camera in the world with a cheap lens results in a cheap photo.
I think you would be wasting your money. Save your money until you can buy quality lenses, especially since you can buy a Nikon 55-200mm telephoto lens for around $200.
