Hi! So I'm 14 and looking into getting a good camera! I really can't decide between the Canon SX40 HS or the Nikon D3100.
So I really want to get the Canon SX40 HS for a concert (since you can't bring a DSLR to concerts) but my brother is telling me not to because apparently anything lower than 14 megapixels "isn't good" but I like that it has full 1080p video, it has really great zoom (I have pretty far seats in the concert) and the screen is movable! The only drawback it the 12.1 megapixels I guess.
With the Nikon D3100 everything is great except for the screen doesn't move and I can't really bring it to the concert. Also I don't really know much about photography so I don't know if I'll be buying a bunch of lenses since I'm not a photographer and I don't plan to be so it'll probably be a waste to throw a bunch of money into it.
Okay but with the Nikon D3100 it'll take great photos, but will it be worth it and last?
What are your opinions?

Explain F-stops, ISO and apertures and all that stuff to me? In layman terms?
So I've been taking a photography class in school. And it pretty much is a blow off class. We haven't learned jacksh*t.lol. The teacher has no authority over the class and all the other kids are being douches and not letting him teach. But its not like we would learn much anyways. So we haven't really covered the things i mentioned above. We sort of got into them, but I don't get it. Its kind of confusing. I'm going on a 6 week vacation this summer and I want to get better pictures than ever before with my new Nikon D3100. I want to shoot with more than just the preset modes. I know i can get better photos with them. So can someone please explain these things?
Will the Nikon D3100 drop much in price when the Nikon D3200 goes on sale very soon?
In the UK the Nikon D3100 is down to around £370 (With the 18-55Vr Kit lens)
The Nikon D3200 is due out very soon indeed. Will this see much money dropped off the D3100

I filmed a video with my Nikon d5100 with no talking. Then I filmed another with me talking. How can I show the video of me not talking, but hear the video of me talking? Any free video editor i can get? I use windows live movie maker, but I'm guessing that won't work. Any help?
