Nikon D50 flash only opens half way?
I have a nikon D50 and 2 days ago one of my friends knocked it off the table, after examination i realised when i press the shutter release button the flash if needed will only open up half way it is Very loose and also the insides of the flash have fallen out please could you tell me if i can get a replacement flash or weather i should start looking at a new camera also how much would it cost to get it fixed if possible.
Do the 70-200mm AF on my Nikon D5100 camera?
I have the Nikon D5100, but i notice not all lens AUTO focus with the camera? I want to buy the 70-200mm lens. How do I know if it auto focus with my camera?

i like the look and build quality of the sigma but i've heard bad things about its auto focusing…

I currently have a Nikon d40 - an entry level DSLR. Over the last four years, I've greatly improved but still have trouble in low light situations. I don't know if it's because I don't know what I'm doing (I don't think so?), I need a higher quality camera or a better lens. I've been looking at the d5100 and the d7000, but can't decide. If you are a professional or semi-professional photographer, would you mind sharing your suggestions? I have a newborn/family session and a wedding next month and I want my shots to be the best they can be!

Nikon d40 and sb600.shutter only going to 1/500?
When i have the sb600 flash on the camera it will only let me shoot at 1/500… In most cases thats fine but i want to shoot low key portrait and need a higher shutter speed… How can i change it to let me use higher shutter speed?
