Does Nikon D7000 has a 'hot pixel'?
I searched and found that even Canon 600D, 60D, 7D and 5D Mark II got 'hot pixel' (just google '60D hot pixel). How to check the camera before buying to know whether it has or not? Should I take it seriously and not to buy D7000 because of hot pixels?
All it means is that the odd pixel (out of several million) doesn't work - it happens.
It's really nothing to worry about, just the manufacturers covering their a**es.
Oh absolutely! I mean, after all, you should be able to take pictures of your lenscap without any hot pixels showing up. IT's not like it's easily fixed by the manufacturer.
Hang on, it is easily fixed and it is hardly ever an issue
Some dSLR's have hot pixels, but they are usually "mapped out" before you ever buy the camera.
I have had seven Nikon dSLR cameras since 2002 and NONE of them have had hot pixels
