Nikon D40 takes weird, blurry, purple photos?
I will admit I dropped the camera hard on the ground, and after that, the camera will still take photos, but they are blurry, unfocused, they come out looking purple and yellow and they're all funky any weird, the pictures have spots on them sometimes like there's dust and dirt inside, I'm not sure what the problem though is still, any help?
Need a DSLR camera, got a budget of Rs.30, 000 to Rs.36, 000. Recommendations?
I have short-listed Sony Alpha NEX-5, Nikon D5000 and Canon Rebel T2i. Which of these?
Or you have any more better recommendations?

Why is the battery meter reading on my Nikon D5000 not changing?
The battery meter on the screen is displaying three bars [the full amount], and doesn't seem to be changing despite the fact I'm using the camera a lot. I haven't charged it in about three days.
I took two 30-minute long exposure shots of the stars which should definitely have drained on the battery but it's still saying that it's full. What could have caused this problem? Could cold weather have done it? Everything else on the camera works fine.

How to get the Sigma 70-300mm Apo Dg lens to autofocus on Nikon d5000?
I'm not familiar with Sigma lenses, and to top it off I'm new at digital cameras in general. I know on my Nikkor vr af-s 18-55mm lens there's an auto and manual feature; is there a similar feature on the sigma lens and I'm just missing it? The lens was purchased used off ebay by my boyfriend for $150, I just need to know if we have to return it because it's broken or if this is complete operator error:0)
Added (1). I should also add that the ebay lister specifically noted the lens was equipped with a "built in motor" which I think means it should be fully compatible to a nikon d5000
Added (2). Thank you for your responses, I brought the lens down to kits camera and was told that there's something wrong with the autofocus mode, I will be returning the lens
I want to gift my husband a camera flash. He has a Nikon D80 and my budget isn't very high.(less than 300) (i'm not even sure if there are any flashes available under that price!)

Canon 50D and the nikon D90 camera
Ok i have looked at both cameras and have been to hold them i like the canon 50d it just feels better in my hands but the D90 is also a very good but just not feel as comfortable i'm not sure now which to get any help please.
I'm looking at buying a new Nikon 35mm camera, will any of my digital lenses work?
My main options are the FE2 / FM2 / F801. I use a Nikon D90 for digital shots, and have a 50mm f1.8 lens with an aperture ring. Would it mount onto these 35mm cameras?
(Also, does anyone have any opinions on those film cameras? I want one which makes double exposures easily - as I currently have a Pentax K1000 which doesn't, and is sadly making its way to camera heaven.)
