What does frame coverage mean? What does Magnification mean?

Nikon's D7000 has 100% Coveage… Does this mean my framing will be right. There will be no extra. I'm a critical framer, what I frame I mean to frame so much. I can't have this *** where there's more. I might go from Canon to Nikon.

Nikon Users - Editorial Night Shoot?

I'm doing an editorial night shoot later on this week. It's not in the very least professional - simply just for fun with some friends.
I use a Nikon D5000, and I wanted to know if anyone had any tips on setting simple lighting (I'm not going to go out and buy some sort of expensive lighting apparatus or something), exposure, f-stop, white balance, ISO, flash/no flash, all of that.

ANY detailed answers will be picked for best answer!

Added (1). DETAILS - (sorry, i forgot to include them earlier)

SUBJECTS - around 4-5 models at most
- WILL All BE SHOT OUTSIDE OR IN NIGHT CLUBS
- WILL FLASH IN THE BACKGROUND WORK? THERE ARE 2 PHOTOGRAPHERS So WE HAVE ACCESS TO ANOTHER FLASH ON CAMERA

I want to buy a DSLR but do not know which one would be better to buy?

I'm debating on buying a Nikon D3100 a Nikon D7000 or the Canon T2I.

Now my budget is approx. $1500 - $2000 max (this will include accessories such as lenses, camera bag, filters ect… )

I'm not a novice or beginner. I'm studying FIlm Production and photography. I would like to use the camera for both still photography and HD video. I will also be using the camera for a couple of weddings.

I'm planning on buying 2 lenses, a 18 - 105 VR and a 55 - 300 VR lens.

SO basically I just do not know which camera would be better.

I have used the Nikon D3000 and really like how easy it is to use.

And I understand that the D7000 is not in stores yet as well as the D3100 but any information would be great.

Also I was wondering if there may be a soon-to-be-released successor of the Canon T2i that will blow the D7000 out of the water? And that I should wait for that?

So let me know. I would love to hear from both Canon and Nikon users so that the answers will not be bias.

Best settings to use on Nikon D5000 for rave photography?

I'm planning on starting my own company, and I own a Nikon D5000. I was wondering if anyone knows the best settings, lenses (I was thinking a wide angle lens), and flash to get vibrant colors and good looking photos of people and lights.

Nikon D3000 colours to vibrant?

Does anybody think the Nikon d3000 makes your pictures you take a little to vibrant? I feel that my d3000 makes my images a little to vibrant and puts to much emphasis on the green colour in things.

Canon 450D compared to Nikon D90?

From what I heard, the Nikon D90 is better than the Canon 450D. But the question is how much better is it? So The D90 has 2 more focus points (9 Vs 11) but I don't think thats much of a problem- or is it? Also for ISO, it only goes up to 1600 compared to 6400… Is it necessary to have a better ISO? What other points do I have to consider before buying one of the two cameras? I'm on a budget so I'm leaning towards Canon, but if I must I might get the D90…

PS Movie mode is not really "needed" I'm buying a DSLR for photography. It would be nice to have a movie mode, but primarily it doesn't really bother me.

Yearbook photography tips?

I'm working on yearbook this year for my highschool, for the first time. My group is working on a page to do with teachers in the school. Quotes and asking questions and just making it interesting.
I have a Nikon D5000, which I'm pretty proud of.
I haven't had it for long. And so far I've just used it to do neat still shots or macro or pictures with friends.
I'm assigned to the photography for our page, and I have NO idea how to go about it. I like to make my photography stand out, but I'm not sure what kind of pictures to take to make it both fit the theme for our page and still catch peoples eye. Any ideas?

Why can't I get the Nikon 50mm 1.4 af-s to zoom?

I just bought a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 af-s to take low-light photography with my Nikon D40.It has a focus ring where there would normally be a manual zoom ring on other lenses like the 55-200 and the 18-55. How do I get it to zoom?
