Need new camera lens replacement.is this one compatible?

So, I accidentally broke the lens that originally came with my nikon d3000 and now i'm looking for a replacement. Does anyone know if this one is compatible with nikon d3000? Thanks!

ANY AF-S Nikkor lens will work just fine on your D3000

The difference between the lens you broke and the one on the link is 1) it is NOT a VR lens and 2) it is a gray market lens.

Since a new USA, 18-55 mm VR lens only costs $199, you may want to spend the extra for it and have a fully warrantied lens, one with VR

If you want to save some money, look for a refurbished 18-55 mm VR from Nikon

Yes, that will work. But it's grey market. Means that if something goes wrong Nikon USA will not fix it under warranty.

Now these things tend to last a long time or succumb to user mistreatment which is not covered by warranty.
