Can I use the vibration reduction on my lens when shooting in fully automatic?
I have a nikon D60 and a 18-105 mm lens. By shooting in automatic I mean fully both on camera and lens.
Added (1). I'm shooting friends wedding and I'm a nervous wreck so i know there will be camera shake.
Added (2). I'm doing this a a favour for a friend who would otherwise have no photograhy. I'm an hobby photographer who mainly shoots animals and landscapes. So this is change.

I'm about to shoot a video with my DSLR, a NIKON D5000?
However, the built in microphone does not produce high quality sound recording. This camera model also does not allow external devices like a gun mic or radio mic to be connected because there's no 3.5mm jack. What other options do I have for me to record sound well?

Beginner DSLR, Which One To Choose For Best Price?
I'm buying a DSLR to get into photography and as i'm a beginner i would need a professional opinion on the subject of which beginner camera is best. I have been looking at the Panasonic lumix G10 12.1MP Digital Camera with 14-42mm Lens for 443.99 euro, the Canon EOS 1000D 10MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens for 419.99 euro, the Olympus E-450 10MP Digital SLR Camera with 14-42mm Lens for 359.99 euro, the Sony A290 14MP Digital SLR Camera With 18 to 55 Lens for 419.99 euro and the Nikon D3000 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens for 419.99 euro. Right now i'm leaning more towards the Panasonic lumix or the Canon EOS. If you have any recommendations among these or any better recommendations for around th price of 250-450 euros then please explain

Does it just mean the outer camera with nothing inside or something? :/
If I buy a body only nikon d3000, is it still the normal camera?

Nikon lens not focusing at high end and at far distance?
I have a nikon d40 with a 18-200 mm lens.latley if i try to shoot something like an airplane it will focus but won't be clear and it won't take the photo unless i swtch to manual or move the focus ring all the way past infinity… It use to take them fine… But its only at far distance. If i go to take a picture of a flower on the ground zoomed all the way out just like the airplane it takes the photo of the flower…
i have insurrance on both the camera and the lens but i don't know if its the lens that needs replaced or the camera?

What type of lens for Nikon D3100?
So I think I'm going to go ahead and get the D3100 this week which, as I'm sure you know if you're answering this, a 18-55 mm lens. I was looking at some package deals online that offer discounts on larger lenses but I'm not sure which one would be best for me, the 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR Zoom Nikkor or the 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED IF AF-S VR Zoom Nikkor…
I will be taking pictures of lots of things but specifically it will be used for cityscapes (day and night), landscapes, people (day and night) while moving and fire and emergency scenes during the day and night so there will be some action shots during the night as well along with flashing lights and flames. Not many of the pictures will be from a distance, the furthest shots I like to take are of cities and buildings (ex.nyc from across central park or Chicago across milennium part or from the fountain) and things like that. A friend has had good results with his 200 mm on a d40 with such things but I've never used a camera like the 3100 before. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
Added (1). I mean I won't be taking closeups of buildings from blocks away. I was going to go with the 200 but I wanted to make sure that was the best possible choice. I like somewhat panoramic shots of buildings not particularly close ups of them. I can get a good shot of buildings in nyc from one side of Central Park for example with a point and shoot camera just not at night which i would like to do. I'm just not very knowledgeable about lenses and how they can alter a picture for better or for worse when used with certain settings and what not.
Added (2). Also, I put emphasis on which one would be better for emergency scenes too. I'm sure the 18-55mm will be good for street scenes with people in motion but i don't know how it would be on a fire scene or crash during the day or night with a 200 (or 300) mm.
