I'm currently assigned by the school fashion show to take a fashion shot of one of the models at this location:

currently i'm in possession of a Canon Rebel t1i along with a 18-55mm f/3.5 and i'm goign to be given an external flash

i'm also in possession of a nikon d90, along with an 18-55mm lens [from a friend] adn an 85mm lens
and i'm able ot use teh school tripod

my question is how can i get a good 'fashion style' shot with the equipment i have been given.

and please don't ask why i have all of this stuff with me

I have looked all throughout the user's manual, and I haven't found the answer. I switched to monochrome when I was shooting on manual, but now I can't figure out how to switch back to shooting in color on my Nikon D3000.

NEED ADVICE Pro photogs.will this be worth it? 50mm 1.4D for a nikon d5000

I'm looking to buy a 50mm 1.4 AF-D (NOT "G")… For a nikon D5000 tonight for less than $200. I know that this will NOT autofocus with my body but would it be worth it anyway if I got it and just manual focused? How finicky is it manually? Need an answer as SOON as possible so I can decide before I go. Thought it was a decent price and might be worth it? I already have the 18-55 and 55-200 that I manually focus every once in a while without a problem.

Added (1). Yes wasabe… I need it for low light. Like i said… I have both the others i'm just looking for a prime for low light and children. (faster than the 18-55mm)

First dslr? Nikon entry level?

I'm buying my first dslr. I don't know anything about photography but reading some manuals and watching tutorials online i had some idea about it. I'm confuse if i'm going to buy d3100 d3000 or d5000. Are some of them going to be sale on december, is worth to spend up to £500 on my very first dslr? Which one am i gonna buy?
