Do I need a power converter for Nikon D5000 camera?
I have a Nikon D5000 camera, bought in the usa.
I was wondering if I'd need to buy a power converter or does nikon sell a charger or such to work for my camera?
Since my charger currently uses 120v-60hz and europe tends to use 220-240v.It'd fry my charger.
Anyways yeah. Power converter or does Nikon sell a optional (europe) charger?
I thought they might since Nikon is a world wide cooperation and all.
For those who don't know (And if you don't, I don't see how much help you'd be, but hey.surprise me) I take the battery out of my camera, put it in the charger box, which is hooked up to a cord that's plugged into a wall.
The box and cord is usa. 120v. (Unless my battery needs to be charged on 120v. Then I guess I'd need a power converter).
Added (1). My charger clearly says 120v~60hz.
That's it.
Also I was wondering about power converters, not plug adapters.

Portrait work with D3000, what lens/settings would work best?
I'm interested in doing portrait work with my D3000 Nikon. I have the 55mm lens and the 55-200mm lens, which is what I shoot with most the time. Looking to see what lens would work best for portraits. Also I'm learning my camera, what settings would produce crisp, clean photos?

Why when i enlarge my photo it gets cut off?
I just purchased a Nikon D3000, and have been taking photo's. However, when I enlarge a photo from a 4x6 to 8x10 and print it; I've notice that the subject gets cut off.

Its hard to compare the 3 model I want to buy D80, D90 or D5000. Can I get some help please.
Added (1). Dolly does the D90 not have those features?

Pentax K-x 12.4 MP vs the Nikon d3100?
Ok i was set on buying a Nikon d3100 but then somebody suggested the K-x. I know its older, but it comes with two lenses and still is cheaper than the d3100.however, i don't want to sacrifice quality. What is the difference on quality? I've also heard that lenses matter more than the camera? What is a better buy? (i'm not going to buy any extra lenses in the near future)
Added (1). * is higher shutter speed and fps important enough to choose which camera i want?

Which is a better deal? (Cameras)

Taking self-timer self portraits with Nikon d3100 (or any SLR, really)?
Alright, so I'm new to the SLR world, and I just got the nikon d3100.
The other day I tried to do a self portrait, but the focus was always on the background.
how do I change it so that once I move into the frame, the focus will be on me, rather than the woods behind me?

Problem with f-stop on Nikon D90?
I just bought a NIkon D90 and a 50mm lens that I got specifically for its small aperture, which is 1.8.
It will only let me shoot if I move the aperture ring to 22. I don't understand. Can I not shoot with a 1.8 aperture then?

Good ways to sneak in a DSLR for tonight
I'm going to an concert tonight and I'd like to take my Nikon D40 and 50-200mm lens. After a year of my family and I being homeless, I was finally able to get it fixed probably after 2-3 years of it being broken. I've contacted the venue and asked if they permit camera's and they said "As long as the camera is the size of a disposable camera and has no special zoom or video features, it should be fine." - My brother and I are going. Usually my mom would tag along and she'd sneak it in for me but she's not going and this is the first concert my brother and I are going to without her. I will admit, I've been kinda stressing about this, it's someone who I've really wanted to see in concert and of whom is a hero of my/someone I do look up to.
I would love to take my DSLR in but I've been trying to think of ways to sneak it in. And just in case they catch me and tell me I can't bring it in, I'll take it back out to the car where my mom will be sitting. But, if there's anyone willing to give me an idea or two, I'm all ears!

In the past several months, I have purchased a Nikon d40x, switched to Mac and recently loaded up Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 for Mac.
I can't figure out Photoshop Elements. Can anyone recommend a guide (user friendly for beginners) to help me start playing and learning. There are a number to choose from on Amazon, but my lack of familiarity makes me hesitant to just pick and choose.
If anyone has some experience or advice, I would be most grateful.
