Nikon D3000 LCD Protector? - 1

I have a Nikon D3000 and I keep hitting the screen off my belt buckle and was wondering what model screen protector I should get. Here's the link to the Nikon screen protectors:

http://shop.nikonusa.com/...D.43894300

I wasn't sure which model fits the D3000. I want one of these specific ones because I know they are hard plastic, not just a stick on scratch protector.

Fast, autofocus lens for Nikon D40?

I currently have the 18-55 mm lens that the camera came with, but I'm looking for a fast lens that I can use with the D40 with autofocus. I was going to get the 50mm f/1.8, but apparently you can only use manual focus with it which I'm not accustomed to do. Something faster than the 18-55 mm lens, but nothing too fancy and expensive.

Does anyone know which type of lens I could get? I'm a budget as well, so anything that's in the cheap range.

Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.

Added (1). I need a faster lens because the slower one isn't producing the quality photos I need. Even with the flash on, a lot of photos come out blurry. I figure with a fast lens the camera will be able to capture the image faster limiting the amount of blur.

What settings would i need in order to expose this sitatuation correctly?

I plan to take some friends pictures about an hour before sunset, they want to use these pics for their holiday cards. They want to be outside like I said an hour before sunset. My question is this, would I need to bring my external flash? I have a nikon sb600, with a nikon d80, I'm not too worried about taking dramatic shots or anything like that, just a family having fun for their holiday card. What settings should I use for the speedlight? I don't really know how to use it, I've been practicing, but I always end up messing it up afterwards. I was thinking of using a large fstop of 1.8 or 2, high shutter speed, and using the flash for fill light to lighten up any shadows, I practiced with ttl and manual mode, at ttl I think I have it at 14mm with the little diffuser pulled down at -3.0, and on the manual setting at 1/64, and to my untrained eye it looks like the TTL settings is easier to control with more pleasing effects, but again i have no idea how to use this thing and the manual sucks. I've also tried googling with little results. Can anyone help?

Would you swap your Nikon D3000 for a Canon G12?

I know I know… It seems like a step down, but let's not get snobby here. Honest, I don't need a lot from a camera. Having the Nikon now, I'm starting to feel like I'm not doing anything 'SLR' with it. I mostly take travel snapshots, scenery, and a bit of club/bar/concert shots. Should I trade my Nikon D3000 in for a Canon G12 instead? I mean, would you?

Cani use my ipod charger to charge my camera?

My camera is nikon d90.
the battery says it is a 7.4 Volts and i'm not sure how much the ipod thing is…
I hav the usb cable for my camera but do not have the battery cradle (AC adapter) charger.
So I wanted to know if I could plug the camera usb cable into the ipod charging block and into the wall or will it ruin my battery?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm in Melbourne for a week and left my camera charger at home.
I can't find a store to go and buy the charger and I do not want to pay for a universal charger.
