I'm looking to find a digital SLR camera?

I'm stuck between Nikon and Canon. They seem to be the major brands for this type of product. I've researched them and they both seem to have good quality. Help me choose a brand. My price range is from $1000-$1600.

I'm thinking about buying another nikon as a back up for my nikon fm2?

I feel more comfortable working with film slr camera.i'm hopeless when it comes to digital with all the buttons and functions…
anyway, my dad bought the nikon fm2 before i was born and handed it over to me last year. It's built like a tank and it's been working great so far.
but i was thinking i need a back up camera just in case if this one goes wrong.

which nikon slr should i buy?
I'm a bit concerned about the plastic ones… I'm afraid it might not be as reliable.

Canon, nikon, or other?

I have the sigma 70-300 mm dl marco super. And a 28-80 mm lens ued on a nikon 65. I'm looking for a new camera that might use these lens, I'm not stuck on the lens tho. I'm willing to dump the lens if necc. I have been looking at cannon and nikon mainly. I would like to use the pic and movie mode as well as some amateur photography. After awhile it gets a bit confusing. I'm trying to keep the price around 1, 000. Or less. Does anyone have suggestions? Oh, one more thing, I have no idea what the point thing is, can you give instructions where to get infomation?

What brand is best for digital SLR cameras? Nikon or Canon?

Or which brand do you prefer?

I'm looking into purchasing a DSLR camera but i'm stuck on which brand to get. I've owned both Nikon and Canon digital camera's and i've noticed that Nikon has a poor picture quality. I'm unsure if that is also the case with Nikon's DSLR camera's. I'm also only an amateur photographer that focuses on landscape, marco and portrait shooting. Any Suggestions on lens's would be great too!

Shopping for an SLR camera. Interested in Nikon D-90?

I have a question on a Nikon d-90 slr camera. I know it is an expensive camera that can go over $1000, but I found one for $689 including kit. I need a kit because I'm a beginner and planning on growing with it, but will not be my only slr camera in my lifetime. Can someone click on this website and tell me if this is a good kit for the price? I'm trying NOT to spend $1000. Please explain why I should or shouldn't get this kit. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

What Digital SLR camera should I purchase?

I take photography in school and outside of school as a Parks and Rec class. Christmas is coming up and as you can already guess I want a new camera. I was leaning towards Canon and Nikon. But of course not too pricey, at most $400. Your most likely to think that's impossible but I know it's not. I'm only a kid and my parents aren't going to buy me a $800 camera. What model would fit me?

Added (1). I have a Kodak that was purchased years ago, :P. That's why I would like something not too expensive but does the job. I often edit pics on Picasa, I find that program so amazing and simple.

Would you trust this Hong Kong seller?

There's this seller from Hong Kong who has over 10, 000 positive feedback and only 12 neutral ones.
It says 100% positive feedback, but I've personally had a bad experience with Hong Kong/Chinese sellers, I bought a USB memory stick that was apparently 16 GB but when I got it and used it, it corrupted pretty much every file on the USB after re-inserting it into my laptop USB port.

Here's the link to this camera: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nikon-D7000-AF-S-18-105mm-VR-kit-DSLR-Digital-Camera-/250725191912?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item3a6062d0e8

Do you think this seller has somehow got fake positive feedback, because I'm thinking about buying this camera and it is over $1000, so I don't want to get scammed.

I'd try another seller, but there are no other 100% positive feedback ones and I try to buy from 100% positive feedback sellers as much as I can, but occasionally I'll allow a few negatives.

I'm worried that if it does work, it will be badly made and different from that camera bought from the store, like Nintendo DS's from Hong Kong.

Would you recommend I buy from him/her?
