Which SLR Camera is good?

I want to buy a SLR cam that doesn't cost me much because i don't have a regular jobs. So i was wondering if i could find one for a least 300 dollars with a lens. I'm not a photographer but i want to take a class and start taking pics… Plixx any recommendations? Nikon or Canon are the only ones i know n they are very expensive… So plix hepl

If price is your foremost consideration also look towards olympus they can produce a body with two very impressive lenses for an incredible price. Sony is also quite good in dirt cheap.
